First Fill, Not Much Restriciton !!!!!!

I had my first fill on Monday, 5/21/2012. I am 4 weeks post op on today. When I was getting my fill you know when they ask if its going down ok I may have been so nervous that I told them I felt like I had to burp when maybe I didn't, I don't know. But I do know that I don't feel restriction like I hear in some of the post. What amount should I be able to eat without feeling restrcition. I can eat more than a cup and a half at a single serving and not feel any restriction. I am not scheduled for another fill until 8/20/12. What should I do??????

Having A Difficult Time

Hi guys I have been having a really difficult time keeping most foods down. I usually have my protein shake for breakfast and lunch and maybe a 1/2 cup of greek yogurt. I have been making a vegetable soup with chicken stock and I can keep it down some days. I'm afraid that something may be wrong with the band but I have't gone to the Doctor for fear that I may not continue to lose weight. I'm down 60 lbs since 4/24/2012. I'm getting so tired of not being able to eat food, and I mean healthy foods, fish, salad etc. I know this isn't normal but has anyone else experience this?

Pureed Diet --- Meal Plan Suggestions

I was banded on 4/24/2012, I am currrently two weeks post op and began my pureed diet on yesterday. My instructions are to have 6 two to four oz mini meals per day. I will be returning to work on tomorrow and would like some suggestions on my meal plan. Look forward to hearing from all of you. Thank you !!!

Expectations Of Others !!!!

Has anyone experienced that others have expectations of how much weight you should have loss. It makes me feel like I've failed them someone. I am ok with losing 24 lbs in 5 weeks. I know that once I really get serious about exercising the weight will come off. I knew from the beginning that the weight loss would be much slower than the gastric bypass. Any suggestions as to how to handle this ?????

Band To Tight

Hi guys I took your advise...went to the doctor and told him that I've had problems for approximately two months keeping food down. The first thing he did was have me have an X-Ray which showed that my band was still intact...so then he said it is probably to tight so he released some of the fluid. I can't tell you how good it feels to be able to eat normally and not get sick, I've been able to get my protein in today and I really feel great. Thanks again for the advice!!!!!!

First Fill Special Instrucitons ????

I'm scheduled for my first fill on Monday 5/21/2012. My doctor didn't tell me anything I needed to do prior to the fill, however I have been reading that you should drink plenty of water prior to the fill and that you should eat a liquid diet prior to the fill so your stomach will be empty. Does anyone know anything about this?????

First Weekly Weigh In

Ok banded on Tuesday 4/24/2012, Pre surgery weight 307 weight on surgery date 296, my weight on today was 290, a total of 17 lbs since two weeks prior to surgery and a total of 6 since my surgery. Being as heavy as I am I was in hopes of larger numbers but I will take it. This week I will make sure I get all my protein, water and exercise in and see what my numbers will be next wednesday. I wish everyone out there on this journey much success, remain focus and keep your eye on the prize -

First Fill On Monday ?????

I am having my first fill on Monday. I will be four weeks post op on 5/24/2012. However my incision site is still a little sore. Do you all think I should go ahead with the fill or since it's right at four weeks should I reschedule ?????

1 Week Bandaversary Yea !!!

I can't believe that it has been a week already. I sure feel better today, than I did in the past few days. So far I'm satisfied with my portions, I'm on full liquid for 6 more days. Can anyone help me get more creative with my protein choices other than my protein shakes, which includes the whey protein and vanilla soy milk. My incisions are healing, it seem that maybe the one that around the port is sore, I have started using ice and today it seems to feel a little better. Are any of you wearing the stomach band that they placed on you after surgery and if so how often? I have decided to weigh in on tomorrow seven days post op and I will post my weight then. I am in the over 50 club and my lost may be slower but we will see. Everyone remain focused and keep your eye on the prize!

Day 9 Post- Op

Its been nine days since my banding. I feel well other than one of my incisions is very sore and painful. I don't know how anyone else is feeling is this normal or should I be concerned. I have my first Doctor's appt. on Monday. I also notice that I am able to eat more than initially. Before I would have my 4 oz serving and feel full, now thats not happening - I will not be able to get my first fill until 4 weeks post-op. Did anyone get a stomach band that was placed on you after recovery, and if so are you still wearing it or should I continue to wear mine?????

Day 5 Post-Op

Hi Bandits, This is day five and so far so good. I'm not in much pain, not hungary so far and I have been able to do all of my business, (TMI) I know, I know- I plan on starting my 30 minutes of exercise on tomorrow and I will do my weekly weigh in's 1 week from my surgery date of 4/24/2012.

Day 6 Post-Op (Feeling Tired)

Good Afternoon Bandits, Well this is day 6 and I am feeling better and better each day. However today after doing some erands I feel a little tired. It is warm today so maybe that's going on. I have my first doctors appt. on May 7, 2012 and my first fill not until four weeks post-op. So far I don't have much of an appetite and not many cravings. Yesterday I had family over for spaghetti and it smelled so good but I just had my 4 ounces of protein and was content for the most part. But again this is only day 6. I promised that I will began my exercise today, havent as of yet but will before the day is over. I wish everyone on the journey much success. I think I'll take a litte nap now -
