Getting Back On The "mill"

January 19th very early in the am.   So I finally got my doc's ok to start exercise again, and I willfuly worked out very lightly for about an hour today. I kept in mind that I had not done any vigorous activity in a while and I kept the treadmill on a low speed for a while (under 3mph) until things really warmed up and I knew I'd be allright.   I had a good workout and I think I logged in a calorie burn of about 400 calories or so according to my calculations. I did some jillian michel's power walking level 1 i-fit card(way to dull but wht the heck), iand some introductions of some of the harder workouts programmed into my nordic track. (I have the t 5.3 and I hate it). It does not have nice cusioning for the knee joint and the belt is very narrow. but it was the smallest model that we saw that we knew would make it down into our basement ok.   I feel really good I worked up a mild sweat and I ened up the evening doing some pilaties work to loosen up my legs, I hope this will be the start of a good thing.   I'm not a "road warrior" I don't run but I will occasionally jog for about 5 min. or so to get things huffing and puffing. I did end the treadmill workout with some mild jogging and when I could take no more I slowed it down to a slow walk.   I hope that as the weight comes off the treadmill will get easier and I won't detest it to much. any of you novice exercise people out there give me a shout.
