To Fill Or Not To Fill

I have another appointment with my doctor, on the 14th, I thought I would not need another fill, I was feeling good restriction for about 2 weeks. But now I am reconsidering, I am able to eat more, I am trying not to. I was steadily losing pounds, but now I put one back on. I know about weight fluctuation, but gaining is not an option for me. lol (I am self pay) I am really not complaining, I have lost 22 pounds in 8 weeks and that is not a bad thing. But I think you have to give the band time to get comfortable with the fill before you can decide if you are in the green zone for sure. Yes I do believe I need another fill. I am only at 3 CC and I believe I have a 10 CC band.

Still Here And Still Losing

I am now down 34 pounds!! so it has been 3 months and two weeks, but it is steady! Slow is ok as long it is steady. Just think if I continue at this pace in another three months and two weeks, I should be down 68 That would be incredible!! I am so hopeful!!

Pcp Visit Today

All is well I am now down 26 pounds, and I feel wonderful. My blood pressure was perfect. My sugar was good. I am down to one pill a day for my diabetes. I love my band! I still have issues with eating too fast, not chewing enough, but mostly when I do not pay close attention. I am logging my food every day on sparkpeople. and the stubborn ole scales moved down today after 3 weeks of staying the same. Then I am at work and I can hardly sit still, and I am thinking what is this crazy feeling, It makes me want to get up and move could it possible be ENERGY!! OMG

Over Slept Yay

Well a little more rushed today, we over slept, that never even happens on the weekends! I love it, I am not at risk for being late to work or anything, just a little less time to relax with the coffee. The thing is we are usually up between 5 and 6 and today it was nearly 7 before we rolled outta the bed. Sometimes that is just really nice!! We could do it more often but usually one of us wakes up early and the other follows suit. So I betcha anything today will be a great day. The scale is just one pound above what it was before the Christmas blow out! YAY Today I will get it back to 230 and maybe by the new year I will be below 230 YIPPEE!! For me it is slow going (banded 14 oct. and down 24) But it is happening! I have gotten this far before on a diet, but I could never stick to it. Then I would gain it all back and then some!! I do not want that to ever happen again. So I will slowly plug away at losing and keeping it off!! Slow is ok by me!!

Just Updating

Well I am nearly three months out and 28 pounds down. I feel good, but I always felt good, Changes are happening, I am down one size in clothes and even my ring size is down one. lol My doctor visit last friday went well and I may get another fill Wednesday. My biggest gripe right now is my baggie pants keep pulling my underwear down lol

I Really Need Another Fill

I have an appointment on the 21st, but I hate to wait that long when I know I need a fill now. I will be patient, but I have gained a few pounds. It is so hard to get it off, I hate to gain back any. Sigh, the process where you are not yet in the green zone is hard. I do so well, then things loosen up and I stop losing then I even gain a little. I hate those mornings on the scale and would gladly football that darn scale through the house. Yes, I can be very childish at times. Anyway I will be patient and try not to damage the rotten scale until the 21st then I hope I will get a fill.

Have I Mentioned I Need A Fill

Yes, I need a fill, I have an appointment, and am patiently waiting, but watching that demon scale sitting at 226 is making me want to football it out into the yard, I know i have said all this before, that is all I can think about at this point. I keep telling my self you have lost 30 pounds in 4 months, not a bad track record, I once lost 75 pounds in 5 months, by walking all day long, sigh, I do not have time to walk all day long anymore. Plus I was bigger then than I am now. I lead kind of a sit down lifestyle right now and I am trying to work some walking on the treadmill or other exercise into my life every day. I feel like I should be farther along in this journey than I am. My blood sugars are getting better. I am really kind of liking some of the dietary changes, I can not eat bread, I can not eat anything breaded. That helps keep me honest. I really need a fill, I look forward to just a little bit more restriction. I think this fill will do it for me, put me where I need to be. Has anyone else, just known that the next one will be the good one? It takes me about 3 weeks to really know how a fill is going to work out, I guess I swell each time. So that is where I am, come on the 21st lol.

Happy New Year

Working late tonight, but that is ok, cause then it is a three day weekend!! YAY. Time to spend with Hubby makes me a happy girl! I am stuck at 230 and it aint budging. I get my third fill on the 11th of January!! I need it. Hope you all have a great new year.

Food Everywhere

This Christmas there was food everywhere. I did not do good. As usual food won and I gained. It was just a couple pounds and I will have to work them off. It would be so much easier if I could just refuse the treats!! I gave away all the gifts of food made for me. My son says Mom I made you a pie and all these cookies before I remembered you cant eat all of it. I had a slice of your pie son and it was great lol. It is just so hard to avoid the whole season of food. I was in a good place with my band at Thanksgiving, and lost 11 pounds, but alas, I need another fill which I will get the 11th of January. We all have our ups and downs, so everyone just hang in there and dust off the sugar and get back on the wagon!! Good luck and I hope you all did better than I did!!

Eleven Pounds In 3 Weeks

That's more like it. My second fill helped a lot. It is really making me follow the rules. No fill today. Doc says it is good how it is. This fill has really made me feel restriction and I am finally understanding full sometimes too much.

Dining Out

We go out to eat most weekends. I have seen many people ask what can I eat dining out, so here is what I usually choose from, chopped steak, baked or broiled fish, grilled or baked chicken, most seafood, baked potato, and veggies, Now I can never eat a whole meal, but I just save the rest for later or for miss puggy my doggie. She loves leftovers lol. Some people can eat salad, I can eat a little bit but not much lettuce based salads. I can do better with salad that has no lettuce. I skip the bread unless it is a really crusty bread then I will eat a little bit of the crust just for a taste. I have no problem with mexican food except for flour tortillas. I prefer corn tortillas anyway. Usually I order the smallest meal they have like a taco and beans or a tostada and beans. Occasionally I order enchiladas but no beans or rice with that. At home we eat fish, chicken, ground bison, venison, shrimp, crab, occasionally potato, lots of beans, salad, but not lettuce based. There is food out there we can eat!!

Breaking Up With Food!

Well I am two months in, I am still at 24 pounds. I am not at all upset with this, I know I need another fill but probably only a little one. What I have learned is that I have a few hurdles yet to conquer. I hate exercise I have to walk. I have a dog, and a treadmill (for rainy days) I have a bow flex. I do not have ambition. lol I am battling with myself over all of this and I know my health will win. It takes time to make a lazy girl move, but the scale sitting in the same spot for a month on 1000 cal per day makes me know, to win I must move my hiney. The biggest thing I have to accept is my break up with food!! I am learning that cooking the way I always have makes me have to have the same meals for lunch all week! lol I am learning that we can make due with just two menu items, because three means lots of left overs. I am lucky to eat a little meat and Veggies. Yes I did say I need a fill, and I do have good restriction, but I am still hungry, which leads me to another battle, head hunger, and real hunger. So far my tummy tells me if I am hungry in loud angry growls, but it doesn't stop my head from saying please please just one more bite! So that is where I am at today. I am fine and feel like I am slowly but surely making progress in all areas, so here's to it! I hope you all have a great New Year! All Is Well

I was banded on October 14, 2011. I am down 20 pounds. I was not given a bunch of rules, of what to eat or not eat, but my band is teaching me more than reading the rules has. I have had two fills and am at 3 CC in my band. I feel pretty good restriction. My doctor has moved me through the steps faster than most I have read on here. But so far so good. I am well and happy. I am going to try and post pics 1 per month of my progress. I have lost one clothing size. So I can finally wear the clothes I bought last diet I tried. I have been buying the next size down at yard sales. When I hit goal, I will buy a whole new wardrobe, but until then I am hitting the second hand stores and yard sales. I love reading the blogs here and the forums. I am thankful to have a site to teach me the in's and out's. Do any of you belong to a support group? We have one near my home and I am thinking about joining.
