no loss for Feb

My doctor has been on vacation for the month of February and I haven't been going to my support group meetings and I haven't lost a pound since!! I am hoping to change that in March when my doctor returns. I haven't lost anything for the month of February and am not sure what the cause of that is. Am I eating too much? I am probably not eating the right things and my hectic schedule doesn't allow for too much exercise. I need to do something, but I am not sure what yet.

219#!!!!!!

Wow!! I didn't have a doctor's appointment today; although I tried to get one because I felt like I was overfilled. Everything that I eat produces a tightness in my chest. Dr. Bonomo said that four days after the fill I will feel like nothing happened. Here it has been seven and I am still feeling the tightness. Well, I went in and got weighed and found myself at 219 pounds!!!! They said that the doctor was too backed up to see me, but I didn't even care at that point because I am at 219!! I am so glad not to be in the 220's. It's been sooo long since I could say that. I haven't even picked up the kids yet, so I have to get off of here. I was just so excited, that I had to write it out. I am at 219!!!!!! Yes!!!!!! This overfill can stay! I don't even care now!

First Fill

I was weighed yesterday and only gained 0.6 of a pound. That is not bad considering how much junk I ate over Christmas and New Years. I am not at 226.6. I had my first fill and he filled me to 6cc's. I have the big band which allows you to eat more. I am told you can go to 12cc's! He generally only fills it 5-6 for your first fill. I must need more than most because he had me filled to 6. I can tell that this is going to be a difficult process. I have problems saying no to food and can't take when junk food is in my face. Here I am supposed to be on a liquid diet and the secretary in our office broke out the cheese, crackers, and mini sandwiches and I had to have two of everything. Now I feel nausea as a result. For some reason; I always feel nausea when I eat what I am not supposed to. I just want to go home and sleep it off but I have to continue to work, then I have to go to my dad's to work on the financing for the new home, then I have to pick up the kids, then I have to feed the kids, etc. I probably won't have a chance to take a break. Well, I found that i have a new phobia-needles. I almost fainted when Dr. Bonomo stuck the needle in my port:help: . I felt so sick and he said that I was working myself up and that it is common among some to do so. Well, I am going to get going. I have a 1:00 appointment coming in soon.

Journey of Changes

Well, now it has almost been a month since the surgery. I am able to eat regularly, probably too regularly! I overdid it on Christmas and REALLY overdid it on New Years to the point that I felt sick. I have not threw up or anything but I have found that I eat less than I used to and I don't really binge or eat late at night anymore. I have lost a total of twelve pounds since the beginning of my weight loss journey, however, I probably gained half of that back over the holiday. I go for my first fill tomorrow and am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things. I am going through so many changes right now and sometimes its difficult not to rely on food while dealing with these changes. Brian and I are in the process of buying a new home. I am stressing over getting financing ready, downpayment ready, old house sold, debating on whether to finish school, to work or stay at home with kids, dealing with the lap band, dealing with eating and drinking separately and using the band the way its supposed to be used, incorporating excercise into my schedule, being the best mother, wife, and friend that I can be, dealing with Brian being unavailable most of the week due to his occupation without using food as my crutch, wondering whether we should move as soon as we buy our new home or stick around and allow Courtney to finish up school here this semester to ease her in the transistion, etc. So many changes, so many things to think about. I am a bit overwhelmed with everything and am increasing my intake of food; especially junk food like chocolate and crackers and chips. I have to find a more productive way to deal with stress and changes. I have already lost twelve pounds and would like to continue to successfully lose the weight. I am going to continue to pray for strength during this journey of changes.

second thoughts

I am feeling much better. This forum has been great support for me. I feel that with the online support and once I start attending group sessions at Mercy, I will be fine. Things are strarting to look better. Right now, I am just experiencing gas pain and the nausea has subsided (thank god). I hate that Christmas is coming up and I will not be able to eat anything. I wonder if I will be able to eat soft foods by then, maybe some mashed potatoes?

Okay, surgery was Thursday, December 7th. It is now Monday, December 11th, and I feel like crap. I am nauseated, sore, weak, dehydrated and feel like i can't do anything. Does anyone know when this will pass?
