The FDA has approved lap band for people with a BMI over 30 , that's me BMI 32. I'm just starting my research and could really use your advice. I will have to self pay, the insurance companies will take forever to follow these guidelines, so what did you or your insurance pay? I figure the cost will never add up to what I have spent on those other programs ie: pills, programs, delivered meals...you know what I mean....would you self pay for a band?
