Whats everyone eating??

OK so I was banded on 04/20/2011 and I have lost inches and about 23 pounds. My problem is I hear of everyone eating mushies which I havent. Im able to eat a lot with the proper amount of chewing. Im wondering what everyone is eating. Tonight for dinner i had 2 taco bell bean burritos. I know we are suppose to eat 1 cup of food but thats gotta be more then a cup. i did pick away alot of the tortilla. Im still having my protein shakes in the morning and having chicken or tuna for lunch. Are you suppose to be able to eat 2 chicken thighs? I didnt think so but it goes down so easy. I did try green beans and wont do that for a while that was extremly painful the next day. Gas!! On occasion i feel discomfort under my ribcage. Like it did when I was pregnant and had a fist or foot up there. What is that? Im trying and will keep trying to stay away from pasta and bread. I went to dinner last night with my bff and kids which I havent done in a year so I was looking foward to it and well everyone picked chinese(my fav) but how to make a good food choice. I ordered Meifun(chicken w/rice noodles). I just ate half but felt the guilt afterwards. Any advice is helpful.

Whats that stuck feeling?

Ok so can someone tell me what that stuck feeling fells like?? I am 3 1/2 weeks post op and had some chicken and string beans yesterday and went to bed with a yucky feeling. Here it is 3pm and I still have a sharp pain under my ribcage and shooting in my right shoulder blade and in my back. What could this be?? Could this really be gas or somthing stuck IDK Any help much appreciated

Pre Op liquids start now.

Hello everyone Im sooo nervous about failing. I start my liquid protein shakes tomorrow and feel im going to be hungry. Can anyone give me and recipes for the pre op protein shakes. I purchased Unjury chicken broth and the unflavored. April 20th is the day. Im so worried about what to drink afterwards also. I have no idea why im having such difficulty. Thanks everyone

OMG PIZZA

Guilt thats what I feel. I was banded on the 20th of April and believe it or not I ate a slice of pizza. I feel guilty a little bit and need to get my head back in the game. I was actually able to hold it down. Surprise I did cut it in little pieces and chew chew chew. Has anyone else done the extreme like me.

Wow Well Im sick to my stomach didnt think I would feel this way. Hopefully tomorrow I will find out my surgery date. Never thought I would be this nervous. Why do I have it in my head that i will never be able to have solid foods again? Uggh

Day 4 of pre-op any suggestions

Ok so here it is Day 4 so glad I ran into my support group counselor during my clearance check. Im so confident about this now. Im so hungry today and these clear liquids are not cutting it. I wonder why others are allowed to eat some solid protein at dinner. I would love to even just have some eggs anything but the shakes.   I was wondering if anyone can tell me what shakes they are using and have used after surgery. Im on the unjury but find it a little costly. Any sugguestions

First Doctor visit

Ok so tomorrow is my first visit since being banded. Thank god I have the next couple of days off. Im still not feeling myself yet and I think my mind plays tricks on me. Sometimes I feel hungry and when the thought of drinking my meal comes to reality I just back off. I really need to start drinking more water. My stomach still feels hard and like Im pregnant again and I have 2 feet under my rib cage. ???? Having trouble falling asleep lately so I have had to take my pain meds just to let me have a good nights sleep. Today is a nice beautiful day so Im going to outside and take a walk, rain the next couple so might as well get it in now. I still feel temptation on eating something I can chew. And must start food journal ASAP Banded on the 20th no BM yet ughh something to look foward to.   Any suggestions on recipes for shakes???

Happy Cinco de Mayo minus the margaritas

Ok so I made it threw Cinco de Mayo which I have to say for an Italian I love my spicy mexican food. I made Tofu chili with some light red kidney beans and white cannelli beans. Added some sauteed peppers with a little bit of American cheese and I was satisfied. Oh btw I was banded on 4/20 and so far so good. Watching my calories and protein. However I soooo would have loved a margarita yummy . I found this website which also helps it really breaks down everything you eat. www.caloriecount.about.com Hope everone had a great day!

One more day

OK last day at work. Last liquid smelly ass protein drink at work. Im done. Tomorrow is my day Hopefully all will go well. Possibly loosing my gall bladder, hey at least its some more weight off me Hope everyone is doing well. Getting ready for my new journey. Wish me luck
