I've lost another pound:whoo::whoo:I am hoping I lose another pound by the end of the day on Monday. I'm really trying hard, but the heat has been so bad here lately. Anyway, I'm sure I will do it!! Be blessed

Well Well Well

Or should I say surprise, surprise. I went on 7/17 for my 3rd fill and after arriving I was told that Dr. T was running late and that he will be in around 1pm. Well my appointment was at 10:15 so I decided to stay. Well after waitin two hours I was told that he wasn't coming in at all!!:smile: So they rescheduled my fill for 7/31, I was so mad! So hopefully nothing will interfere next week! I need a fill bad!!!   Be blessed!

Day 2 Post Opt

Today is okay, I'm trying to get the shakes down. I mixed the 3oz. protein shot w/ 3oz. of skim milk,Splenda and two ice cubes together in the blender. I could only get about 60cc down. I will keep trying...next time I won't use the blender. I think the blender makes it too thick. Other than that I am good. I'm not in any pain what so ever. I am ready for the puree stage, oh yeah and the mushies!!   Be BLESSED!

The Process Begins

Today is October 27th and I have made up my mind to have the Lap Band procedure. I've gone to the Dr. Woodman's (901-869-2000) seminar and have spoke with so many nice people here on LapBandtalk.com that have made me feel that this is a great decision. I have scheduled my first appoinment with Dr. Woodman (Novemeber 3rd, day before my birthday)I've also made an appointment with the nutritionist (Jennifer Krog 901-767-3576) and I am in the process of waiting for the psychologist nurse to call me back to set up and appointment with the psychologist (Dr. Mace Coday 347-8206). Oh yeah I am also waiting for my primary care physician to send me the letter of reccomending the Lap Band and my medical records. So hopefully everything will go smooth, but I am expecting so bumps in the road. I will update you all soon on my process.:drum:

3rd Day Post-Opt

Well after a loonng night dealing w/ the gas pain I feel a little better. This go round I decided not to add skim milk to my protein shot, just a few cubes of ice. I'm feeling okay, for some reason I'm trying to face the fact that I have the band inside. I must admit, I have said why did I do this...but I know why. Maybe I will feel better once the liquid phase of it over, until then I will try and get it together. My sister and brother-n-law was trying to tell me it will be hard the first few weeks of getting use to this new lifestyle, but that isn't sinking in. Oh well...what's done is done. As for right now, I'm not too happy with my decision.

No Rain Please...

I really have to walk this afternoon and if it rains I will have to get on my treadmill:angry ! Yesterday I did 3 1/2 miles in less than 40 mins at the park, and I felt so good. If it doesn't rain I plan on walking 3 1/2 miles everyday, except tomorrow (class--2 miles on treadmill:angry ). I have to lose 10 pounds this month!!! So far I've lost 4, but more importantly I am 5 pounds from 1derland!!!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: So, needless to say I am eating A LOT less and working out VERY HARD. Menu---4/16 & 4/17 Breakfast: 1/2 of 1/3 less sugar Frosty Flakes w/ 2% milk. Lunch: Chips Dinner: Nothing

Two Years Ago Today

Wow I can't believe that 2yrs ago today I was preparing myself to be banded on January 11, 2007. Sooooo much has changed since then and I do mean SOOO much. But I thank God that most of the changes has been good changes. However there were others that were bad and scary. Just to elaborate a little my job was relocated and I had to find another, but thankfully I found one a week later. On a more personal note I have maintained my weight and exercise for almost two years. Although I am not at my goal of 170 I am working really hard on accomplishing that goal by January 11th 2009. In a few hours I will begin a new chapter in my life and I must admit that I am looking for to leaving a lot of people in 2008. I am looking forward to not being too nice, don't get me wrong, but when I say that I look forward to not being too nice, I mean to people that do NOT deserve me or my kindness....can you believe a very special person that I hold close to my heart said that me being too nice was "wierd" I was atonished! I'm like damn shivery is dead indeed! But that person is one of the ones that I plan on leaving in 2008(but I will need strength). Anyway I am getting to windy here so I wish everyone a Happy and FULL New Year(the #9 means fullness and FAT in the Hebrew language(I hope I got that right)) meaning that one will be full of blessings and it also means re-establishment and return. I expect God to re-establish me in 2009 and give me a return on everything that I have lost in the past years!!So Happy New Year and great blessings!!!   Be blessed!:thumbup:

Pre-Opt Phase (again)

Hi Everyone,   I have to get this weightloss thing going again. So I've decided to do the pre-opt diet. Even though I go for my 3rd fill on 7/31 (who knows what will happen). I haven't had a fill since August 1, 2007. So I must say that I've done pretty good!   Okay today is my 1st day of liquids:   SF Jello Better Than Boullion broth Protein Shake   Be blessed!

Two weeks on liquids

Okay while at work I was listening the FINE DON OMAR! So I brought him on to the house with me (I wish) and instead of getting on the treadmill I danced (salsa & merengue) to his music and danced off another pound! Preciate ya Don Omar! No Fill Today

Well I went in for my first fill, but when I told Dr. Harper what has been happening he decided today wasn't a good time. I was fine with that since I don't think I need one. If is't up to me I'd rather not have a fill...it's been eleven weeks and I'm still losing. So hopefully, I can go longer:phanvan. I had the Barium and it went straight through the band, so that was good. I thought my band had slipped, but it's in place:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:. Today's workout was tough on me, I walked my 3 1/2 miles, but I had on my plastic sweat suit and a jogging suit on top of that!!!:faint: :faint: :faint: I know I was wrong for that!! My legs were weak and I felt like I was going to past out and I think the temperature was in the 80's today:faint: :faint: but I kept going to the end. Tomorrow I will take it easy and no more double layered workouts!!   Be BLESSED!

Didn't Meet June Goal

I didn't meet my goal for June and honestly I have slack on my eating. I still work out a lot (walking mostly), but I need to start lifting weights to get my arms and legs in shape. I need to lose 21 more pounds to be at goal. So I don't know what I need to do to get them off. I was thinking about doing the low carb diet again to lose and gain muscle, but I'm not sure. I know I am tired of being stuck at 191! Anyway, I'll figure it out. I have the 10cc band and my first fill was on 6/6/07. I know I need another fill, but I was trying to lose the 21 pounds without getting another one. Well, it will all work out and the 21 pounds will eventually come off.   Be blessed!

Protein Drink

I went to The Vitamin Shoppe and they were out of the zero carb Isopure chocolate, vanilla and strawberry! So I got a box of New Whey 42grams of protein 3.1oz tubes. My nutritionist told me about them and since I am suppose to have 80 grams of protein a day these will be perfect! They are very convenient and no mixing, but I do want the zero carb Isopure.

It's Been a Minute Since I've Checked In...

Well hellooo!!! Well I've decided to check in since it has been a while. Well I'm about to wrap up the fall semester at school(THANK YOU JESUS!!) Now I can focus on my exercise. I do have somewhat of a trainer...I've been stuck at 183 for three months. I am vowing to be at my goal by January 11th. I go for my third fill on 12/19 (WOOHOO!). I can basically eat anything!! But I during the week I don't eat any solid food, and I have my protein shake (sugarfree choc syrup, sugarfree Blue Bell Great Divide, peanut butter, ice, and choc protein powder). It's my wanna be Reese's Peanut Butter cup shake. I do need to get more water in, I try to work out during the week, but it has been hard with work and school full time. Well I fell out because my sugar level was extremely low and I have been "trying" to eat more, but during the week I refuse too. I know that it is not healthy, but I will not gain back the weight I lost!!! NOT AT ALL!! Anyway I am suppose to be studying for a final exam in the morning. but this site helps me get motivated. I hope everyone is doing awesome!! Hi Sunshine2!!

One More Pound To Go!!

Okay I've already passed my original goal to be at 210 by the end of March, because I am at 209:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: However, my second goal was to lose 15 pounds for the month of March and I am 1 pound short of meeting that goal!! I have one more day to go, I know I can do it!!!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: I am sooo close to ONEDERLAND I can taste it!!!! It's on now, as a matter of fact it's been on!!!! 9 pounds you have to go!!!! I have 40 more pounds to kick to the curb!!!! Be Blessed!

Am I Dreaming??

Okay, another pound gone?? I had a mini goal to lose 5lbs by Sunday, but I lost four. So this morning I weighed and lost another pound! 35lbs lost total...this is amazing!!! Trial and Error

Okay late last night I did eat fried smoke sausages in the red skin after my husband left to hang out w/ some friends. He would not let mess up this liquid thing...they were SUPER GOOD!!! I am wondering if I do the liquids and some kind of meat, if that would be okay? It will be like the Atkins diet, no breads or starches...any way I may do that. I will check w/ my care cordinator Tuesday to make sure. I did walk over a half of mile last night on my treadmill in 15 mins (didn't even break a good sweat). I felt good afterwards, but today I walked a little over three miles in about 45 mins at the park...it felt good to be back at my favorite park. My mom has never walked with me before and she walked a mile and a half:clap2: . Just last Sunday she was at the ER bent over in pain related to her back! Well as for my 2nd day of the pre-opt thing (YUCK), I've had one New Whey Protein shot w/ half of cup of skim milk blended w/ice, three sugar free popsicle (yum) a cup and a half of beef broth w/ Ramen noodle seasoning (left over from last night) and that's it! I will have tomato soup later and sugar free jello.   Be BLESSED,   Sheila:)

Atkins Diet

I've decided to start the Atkins Diet to get the last 21 pounds off me. I started on 7/2, so maybe this will get the fat to burn once I reach the Ketosis stage.   Menu-7/2   Breakfast: Nothing   Lunch: Wendy's pattie w/ cheese and lettuce Peanuts 6 carbs Sugarfree raspberry tea   Dinner: Ground beef pattie w/ my super good ZERO carb gravy w/ slices of jalepenos Steamed veggies (broccoli sauteed in butter and garlic) 1 Slice of ZERO carb cheese cake.   Exercise: 3 1/2 miles   Be blessed!

Going Forward

Hello everyone,   I just wanted to let you all know that I am going forward with the process. I've met with the psychologist, nutrionist and the the nurse at Dr. Woodman's office. One thing that did not sit well with me is the 500.00 fee that Dr. Woodman charges ALL patients:mad: . The nurse said it is for the support groups and other activities, I ask what if I don't want to participate in such activities and she said I would have to pay it anyway. So I may call around to find another doctor once I get approval, hopefully they won't charge that much if anything. I also went ahead and met with my primary care physician and he told me that he would submit the Lap Band reccommendation letter to Dr. Woodman's office (good!). So now I am just waiting for everything to be approved. I hope everyone is going GREAT and I will talk to you later.   Be BLESSED!:nervous

Banded A Week Later

Well it's been a week since banded and I'm better. The one thing that is bothering me is going through another week of liquids. I know it is necessary, but I'm having a hard time. At least let me get to the puree stage!! I think I just heard my stomach for the first time...oh well. Dr. Madan is impressed with my weight lose, so that's good. This morning I did get on the treadmill at a really fast pace. Other than that I'm still day dreaming of being small.   Be BLESSED!
