Weight Loss More Energy

Yesterday I worked out on the treadmill again and did a bit better!:clap2: .   Menu on yesterday:   Breakfast: 1/2 cup of 1/3 less sugar Frosty Flakes w/ skim milk Lunch: Less than 1/2 cup of Cajun crab dip w/ crackers (8) Dinner: 1 crab cake Snack: 1 Sugar free popsicle   Workout:   Miles: 2.01 Calories: 262 Fat Calories: 82 Time: 31:50 MPH: 4.0   I MUST keep it up to reach my goal weight by the end of June!   Be Blessed!

Pain

FIRST FILL!!

Today I got my first fill!!! It was a wierd experience...but I'm glad I have it!! I have to stay on liquids for 2 days and puree over the weekend and back to solids on Monday. I'm looking forward to the weight loss!!! Everyone is telling me how small I am, but I wanna lose about 25 more pounds. My original goal was 160, but I'm going to see how I will look at 170. So my goal for this month is 12 pounds!!! Be blessed!!

Back At Work

01/11/07 D-DAY !

Well my time is almost here and I am somewhat calm (surprisingly). I feel good! I'm going home and clean a little bit and get my hospital bag together for my two day hospital stay. I will get there at 5:30am and I'm guessing the sugery will be at 7:00am. That's about it...so no stress to because I'm too BLESSED!   Sheila   Be BLESSED!

Test Complete

Hello Everyone,   Today was the GI test and it wasn't bad at all...but for some reason I woke up singing Beyonce's "Irreplaceable" song. The nurses thought that was funny. Anyway it was aight...the anesthesia was GREAT! I should get a surgery date on Wednesday, so I am excited now and not that nervous for once. No Dinner, Exercise or Class!

Well yesterday for lunch I had a grill chicken philly and I only ate the thin sliced chicken with the melted cheese and a little lettuce and I was done for the day! I was miserable...I had trapped gas or something. Even though the chicken was thin I still chewed and chewed. I didn't eat any dinner and to think about it I didn't have any breakfast. So I didn't feel like working out or going to my boring class. I went to church and I actually felt a little better. I took to Mylanta gas tablets and those things will get the gas out!! I don't like them that much, because the make me gag. Once I gag I burp...but afterwards I feel a LOT better. So this morning I am feeling normal, I will not have a grill chicken philly again. Today I will make sure I take it easy on the food, I will eat soft foods today. Be blessed!

Waiting game

Hello everyone,   I am sitting here reading about all the upcoming surgery dates and hoping I will here something this week. I checked my UHC claims online, but I only see where they have processed my visit with UT Medical. I am ready to get rolling...hopefully I will get banded sometime in December.   Sheila Be BLESSED!

Finally At Home

I am home finally, everything went very good...no gas pains or shoulder pains. I'm a little tender at my incision sites and that's it. I'm glad to be home! My doctors were great! I haven't weighed myself yet, so I'm hoping have lost at least two pounds. Well I am going to lay down and rest.   Be BLESSED!

OOH Boy I Got A Little GAS!!!

Between the 6oz shake I had today and the water, one of them gave me a little gas! I was in tears!!! So I went straight for the Gas-X...it's workin a little. Man! I was upset at myself for having the band put in! A friend of mine had it done and reassured me that it will get better. I've walked twice today for a total of 20 minutes to ease the pain and it helps. So tomorrow I won't use skim milk, just to try and pin point the cause. Other than that I am fine, no pain at any of my incision sites. Thank you JESUS!!   Be Blessed

Good Work Out!

Day 4 Of Liquids

Okay, I have to make sure I stay consistent with my documenting.   Today I ran 3 miles Had about 40oz. of water and a glass of wine (Chardonnay) and some dried cranberries (sweetened ) No protein today, I have to do better, but I may have a cup of watered down cream of chicken soup (Maybe)

LAP BAND DREAM

Hello everyone today is October 30th and I have finally sheduled an appointment with Dr. Mace Coday (psychologist) on Wednesday November 1st after her next opening was January 18! I go tomorrow to meet with the Jennifer Krog (nutritionist) and then my appoinment with the surgeon on November 3rd. For some reason I find myself waking up in the middle of the night scared out of my mind about the surgery. I have compared the risks and pain, but he benefits out weigh them both. I can't wait to wear a tank top with out coverng up my arms! I know someone knows what I mean...or putting on a long shirt to cover my stomach. I know the time will come...so until then I'll keep on covering up. Talk to you all later.   Sheila Marie;)

Yuk Oh!

:drum: :car: After reading one of the post regarding Gastroparesis:( , I am back at the debating table. I am sooo scared, I don't know what to do!! Should I go see the nutritionist on tomorrow? Should I see the psy doctor on 11/2, (if not her next available is 1/18)? :( Wow!!! I am really :( scared and nervous! I don't want to do something that will satify me for a few years (if that) then when I am older have devastating results:( :( . It's a lot to soak in right now, especially when there is no one I can really talk too. Well I may keep my appointments, that way if I do decide in the next week or so I won't have to go through scheduling appointments and things like that. Starting Pre-Opt Diet Today!

Hello Everyone,   Today I will start the pre-opt diet! So I am on my way to the Vitamin Shoppe, I will get the zero carb Isopure (chocolate), multivitamin and a shaker. I will get my chicken broth, boullion, sugarfree popsicles and jello today too. I can't believe I am this excited consider my feeling before. I feel good about what is getting ready to happen to me. My pre-opt appointment is on 1/5...then I will meet Dr. Madan. I met Dr. Tyshanksi(?) twice he was nice also, but Dr. Madan will do the procedure. Pre-Opt Diet is harder than expected!

Okay yesterday I was suppose to start the pre-opt diet, but messed up. So today is going really well, but I am wanting to eat! So this morning I had one New Whey protein shot (42grams) on ice. Lunch: I had one New Whey protein shot (42grams) blended with about one cup of skim milk and ice. I also had a can of cream of broccoli soup w/ a half of cup of skim milk instead of using water. Honestly I am not hungry...I guess since I can't have what I want it's driving me crazy. Tonight I will have one Ramen noodle package (only seasoning) and mix it with one can of beef broth. I have already thrown the noodles away. I hope I can make it to 1/11. I guess it all depends on the doctor...one doctor say no pre-opt diet required and another say two week pre-opt is required! Oh well I will do my best to follow this stuff.   Be BLESSED, Sheila

Day 2 of Atkins Diet

Menu 7/3   Breakfast: ? Maybe nothing   Snack: Peanuts 6 carbs   Lunch: Leftovers Ground beef pattie w/ my super good ZERO carb gravy w/ slices of jalepenos Steamed veggies (broccoli sauteed in butter and garlic) 1 Slice of ZERO carb cheese cake.   Dinner: Leftovers Ground beef pattie w/ my super good ZERO carb gravy w/ slices of jalepenos Steamed veggies (broccoli sauteed in butter and garlic) 1 Slice of ZERO carb cheese cake.   Exercise: Walking 3 1/2 miles Weights!!!   Be blessed!

Good Bye 190's/Day 3 on Atkins Diet

Well I have FINALLY move out of the 190's!!!:clap2::clap2::clap2: I am at 189!!!:whoo::whoo:Today is day three of the Atkins diet and I'm glad for some reason the first three days are the tougest. I got up this morning and did my 3 1/2 miles, I ran and walked. Menu: 7/4 Breakfast: Nothing Lunch: left overs two ground beef patties w/ my special ZERO carb gravy, sauteed broccoli w/ garlic and butter. Snack: I said in my previous journal entry that my cheesecake had no carbs, but it has 1 carb per serving in the cream cheese. Dinner: Over night seasoned grilled chicken wings w/ grilled zucchini squash w/butter and chopped garlic and a dab of Better Than Boullion (yes!) I just mixed the garlic, butter, and BTB together and once the zucchini is ready I use a BBQ brush and spread it on! Oh yea and low carb/sugarfree cole slaw. Exercise: 3 1/2 miles walked and ran Be blessed!

Review

I called UHC just to check the status of my claim and I was told that it is being reviewed and I should have an anwser this week. I hope so, because I am ready to get going!! I have started on Adipex and I feel a lot better! I am eating very little a day (a little over 600 calories a day). Thank God...just wanted to give you an update.   Sheila   Be BLESSED!:girl_hug:

2 POUNDS TIL 1-DERLAND!!!

I am sooo excited about 1derland!!! I have only 2 pounds until I get there!!!!!:clap2: :clap2: . However, I have 3 pounds to meet my April goal of 10 pounds!!! I'm going to try VERY hard to reach them both by tomorrow night. I know that's a lot of pressure, but I believe I can do it!!!! NO SOLIDS, only LIQUIDS!!! Be Blessed

Oh MY Goodness!!

Okay, this morning I my journal entry say I need to lost 2 pounds to be in wonderland and I need to lost 3 pounds to meet my April goal of 10 pounds. Well,I went to church came home (I still haven't eaten) and went straight to the park. I stopped by the grocery store on my way home, and soon as I got in I got on the scale it is say: 200 POUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!!! So now I need to lose 1 pound to be in 1DERLAND and 2 pounds to meet my April goal of 10 pounds. I think I'm more excited to be in 1DERLAND than to meet my April goal! I can't beleive it I should be ARRIVING in 1DERLAND by tomorrow!! I took the advice from one of the celebrity trainers (I can't remember his name). He said it's good to work out on an empty stomach, so that's what I'll do. As for today I'm getting ready to have some soup!!! It feels like Christ-mas Eve today and tomorrow is Christ-mas!!   Be Blessed!

Gas Pain???

I have been having what I believe to be gas pains for about a week. I feel like I want to burp, but can't. Then I can feel it move back down to my chest. My doctor prescribed Prevacid 30mg, I hope it works. Other than that I am good. Saturday I walked three miles in about forty minutes, and did a few other fast pace things to burn calories. Some people are starting to notice, my weight loss :clap2: !   Be Blessed

Day 3 on Semi-Liquid Diet

Alrighty today was much better on this pre-opt diet.   Breakfast: New Whey 42gr protein shot blended w/ice, 2 sugar free banana popsicles (2carbs each)& skim milk (really good).   Lunch: Not even a cup of tomato soup.   Dinner: 1-1/2 cup of Albondigas (mexican meatball soup) yummy! I did eat about five really small meatballs and veggies (oh well). New Whey 42gr protein shot blended w/ice, 2 sugar free banana popsicles (2 carbs each)& skim milk. I used a little Splenda in that one to make it sweeter.   Be Blessed!
