LAP BAND DREAM

Hello everyone today is October 30th and I have finally sheduled an appointment with Dr. Mace Coday (psychologist) on Wednesday November 1st after her next opening was January 18! I go tomorrow to meet with the Jennifer Krog (nutritionist) and then my appoinment with the surgeon on November 3rd. For some reason I find myself waking up in the middle of the night scared out of my mind about the surgery. I have compared the risks and pain, but he benefits out weigh them both. I can't wait to wear a tank top with out coverng up my arms! I know someone knows what I mean...or putting on a long shirt to cover my stomach. I know the time will come...so until then I'll keep on covering up. Talk to you all later.   Sheila Marie;)

Day 14 On Liquids

Okay today I completed my 42nd mile! Since Monday I have been walking and running a total of six miles! Anyway as far as protein I had:   42 grams of protein in the form of a shake 20oz water vitamins Can of Cream of Celery

Day 6 Of Liquids

It's New Year's Eve! Yay! I am so ready for 2012!!   Okay today I:   Ran 3 miles Had 42 gram protein shot mixed with one scoop of Isopure protein powder 25 grams, diet V8 Splash (a cup), ice and light Reddi Whip blended! So delish! Vitamins 60oz of water   Happy New Year!

Day 11 On Liquids!

Today I:   Ran three miles and walked three miles Had a protein shake 42 grams of Protein smoothie Water Vitamins

FIRST FILL!!

Today I got my first fill!!! It was a wierd experience...but I'm glad I have it!! I have to stay on liquids for 2 days and puree over the weekend and back to solids on Monday. I'm looking forward to the weight loss!!! Everyone is telling me how small I am, but I wanna lose about 25 more pounds. My original goal was 160, but I'm going to see how I will look at 170. So my goal for this month is 12 pounds!!! Be blessed!!

Day 8 On Liquids

Ran three miles and walked three miles. 42 gram protein shot 40 oz. of water or so Vitamins Broccoli cheese soup 6oz.

Day 4 Of Liquids

Okay, I have to make sure I stay consistent with my documenting.   Today I ran 3 miles Had about 40oz. of water and a glass of wine (Chardonnay) and some dried cranberries (sweetened ) No protein today, I have to do better, but I may have a cup of watered down cream of chicken soup (Maybe)

Day 3 Liquids Update

On yesterday, 12/28/11 I had the following:   Isopure Protein 50 grams of protein shake Multi-vitamin Calcium Water   And I ran 3 1/2 miles!

Second Day On Liquids

On yesterday I started the liquid phase again. I had the following:   37 Grams of Protein w/ Flaxseed Multi-Vitamin Calcium Water   And today I had:   36 Grams of Protein Multi-vitamin Calcium Water

Yuk Oh!

:drum: :car: After reading one of the post regarding Gastroparesis:( , I am back at the debating table. I am sooo scared, I don't know what to do!! Should I go see the nutritionist on tomorrow? Should I see the psy doctor on 11/2, (if not her next available is 1/18)? :( Wow!!! I am really :( scared and nervous! I don't want to do something that will satify me for a few years (if that) then when I am older have devastating results:( :( . It's a lot to soak in right now, especially when there is no one I can really talk too. Well I may keep my appointments, that way if I do decide in the next week or so I won't have to go through scheduling appointments and things like that. Well, I'll make sure I asks the surgeon about Gastroparesis and the risk factors. Until next time or when ever I get nerous again (just kidding) :( . Type ya later!:omg:     Be Blessed, Sheila

Change of Mind?

After reading the post about having regrets (wow!), I think I have a change of mind about wls. I am sitting here thinking that only one time in my life I put forth great effort to lose weight and all the other times I was just greedy and messed up. I know I have paid money for doctor visits and nutritionists, but I don't think I am ready to have surgery just to lose weight. It is hard being heavy and I am sad at times...but I don't think I can put myself through the sugery. My husband wants me to have the surgery and I have one sister who is for it and a few friends, but I'm not sure if they just agree with it because I am/was all excited about it. Now I may change my mind in the morning when I can't fit into some clothes for work, but as of this very moment my mind is changed. I don't want my stomach folded a bit and stitched in any kind of way, other than the way God made it. I am ranting for a moment...man...I will see how I feel this week. I feel bad, because there are so many that would love to have an approval from their insurance company and here I am with one and now I change my mind. I should have really thought it out before I jumped the gun and started the process. I will pray about it.

Emergency Room Visit

Well for some strange reason I had to rush to the emergency room late last night. All I ate yesterday was about two tablespoons of tuna, six crackers, a teaspoon of fruit dip, two grapes three slices of strawberries and a few chips and dip. I started to feel the irritation on my left side at about 8pm, but that's not unusual. So at about 11:15pm I started to gag and burp up clear stuff constantly, so it got to the point that I was on my knees. I went to the emergency room and they drew blood and did an x-ray. The doctor said everything looked normal, but they're not that familiar with the lapband. I will tell my doctor on Wednesday, but I feel much better...I do feel a little weak. I really think I'm over doing it with the exercise, because last week as soon as I got off the treadmill I started gaging. I can't slow down my workouts...I need to lose four more pounds by the 31st.:faint: I see I lost another pound since yesterday, I probably burped it off! Anyway, type ya later.   Be Blessed!

Waiting on Test Result

Hello,   I am now waiting on my test results, before I can get a surgery date. I need to know when it is so I can get prepared. School starts back up on January 16th and nothing will keep me from school! I called Nicole at Dr. Madan's office to see if I could get an approximate date, but she said I will have to wait a few more days. I wanna have it done on 1/8 or 1/9. I think I will feel good enough to go to school the following week. Anyway...I know I am ready for CHRISTMAS!!! YEA!!! One Month Banded and Down 23 Pounds!

Well it's been a month already and I am doing great! I went to Dr. Madan's office, but he wasn't there so I saw Dr. Tschansky (good doc too). He said my weight loss is really good and to keep it going. I was suppose start on my mushy stage today, but he said I can start eating solid food now. I was already eating mushy foods, so I can kick it up another notch. Well that's all for now.   Be Blessed!

30 Pounds Have Left My Body!!

I am SO happy that 30 pounds are gone forever!!! I have lost my first 30 pounds!!!!! I am happy, happy!!!! Yea!!!! The pain I was having was/is air in my stomach too, so I bought the Mylanta Gas tablets and they REALLY WORK!   Be BLESSED!

Day 7 Of Liquids For 1/1/2012

Happy New Year!!!   Anyway this post is for yesterday! I just forgot, so I had:   Chocolate and Peanut Butter Protein shake 36 grams (I gotta get more protein in) Calcium MultiVitamin 40 oz of Water Snack: Sugar free fudge with a little peanut butter and Reddi Whip Glass of Chardonnay Ran 3 miles!   God bless!

Steady Workout, Steady Losing!

I am so proud that I am continuing to workout and that's why the pounds are constantly coming off. I don't even worry about food anymore!!!! Good Bye 190's/Day 3 on Atkins Diet

Well I have FINALLY move out of the 190's!!!:clap2::clap2::clap2: I am at 189!!!:whoo::whoo:Today is day three of the Atkins diet and I'm glad for some reason the first three days are the tougest. I got up this morning and did my 3 1/2 miles, I ran and walked. Menu: 7/4 Breakfast: Nothing Lunch: left overs two ground beef patties w/ my special ZERO carb gravy, sauteed broccoli w/ garlic and butter. Snack: I said in my previous journal entry that my cheesecake had no carbs, but it has 1 carb per serving in the cream cheese. Dinner: Over night seasoned grilled chicken wings w/ grilled zucchini squash w/butter and chopped garlic and a dab of Better Than Boullion (yes!) I just mixed the garlic, butter, and BTB together and once the zucchini is ready I use a BBQ brush and spread it on! Oh yea and low carb/sugarfree cole slaw. Exercise: 3 1/2 miles walked and ran Be blessed!

I Can't Believe I'm Saying This, But...

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I want to go back on liquids. As much as I hated being on liquids, I am going back. The nurse said I can always go back to liquids to regroup, so I am. I go see Dr. Madan this morning to see what is going on with this possible food being stuck thing! He is great and a hottie too! Well my appointment is at 9:00am, so I better start getting ready. Liquids here I come, again.   BE Blessed!

Two Years Ago Today

Wow I can't believe that 2yrs ago today I was preparing myself to be banded on January 11, 2007. Sooooo much has changed since then and I do mean SOOO much. But I thank God that most of the changes has been good changes. However there were others that were bad and scary. Just to elaborate a little my job was relocated and I had to find another, but thankfully I found one a week later. On a more personal note I have maintained my weight and exercise for almost two years. Although I am not at my goal of 170 I am working really hard on accomplishing that goal by January 11th 2009. In a few hours I will begin a new chapter in my life and I must admit that I am looking for to leaving a lot of people in 2008. I am looking forward to not being too nice, don't get me wrong, but when I say that I look forward to not being too nice, I mean to people that do NOT deserve me or my kindness....can you believe a very special person that I hold close to my heart said that me being too nice was "wierd" I was atonished! I'm like damn shivery is dead indeed! But that person is one of the ones that I plan on leaving in 2008(but I will need strength). Anyway I am getting to windy here so I wish everyone a Happy and FULL New Year(the #9 means fullness and FAT in the Hebrew language(I hope I got that right)) meaning that one will be full of blessings and it also means re-establishment and return. I expect God to re-establish me in 2009 and give me a return on everything that I have lost in the past years!!So Happy New Year and great blessings!!!   Be blessed!:thumbup:

Food Stuck?? Meat Tenderizer??

***I posted this thread and decided to add it to my journal.***   Hi everyone,   Lately I have been feeling like I have trapped gas for over a week. My doctor prescribed Prevacid 30mg, today is day three on it and no change. So last night I use an old remedy of baking powder and warm water. I felt okay for a few minutes, then it was back. Today I called the doctor again and ask the receptionist I could drink a little bit of diet coke to relieve the gas and Dr. Madan must have over heard her talking to me and said NO. He thinks some food is stuck, so he told me to go home and get some meat tenderizer and water (warm?) and drink it. He said it is not the best as far as taste goes (ya think?), but it will help break up any food that could be stuck. So I'm gonna try it tonight. Have anyone else heard of this "remedy"?   Be BLESSED! Sheila:help:
