Yuk Oh!

:drum: :car: After reading one of the post regarding Gastroparesis:( , I am back at the debating table. I am sooo scared, I don't know what to do!! Should I go see the nutritionist on tomorrow? Should I see the psy doctor on 11/2, (if not her next available is 1/18)? :( Wow!!! I am really :( scared and nervous! I don't want to do something that will satify me for a few years (if that) then when I am older have devastating results:( :( . It's a lot to soak in right now, especially when there is no one I can really talk too. Well I may keep my appointments, that way if I do decide in the next week or so I won't have to go through scheduling appointments and things like that. Well, I'll make sure I asks the surgeon about Gastroparesis and the risk factors. Until next time or when ever I get nerous again (just kidding) :( . Type ya later!:omg:     Be Blessed, Sheila

Work Out

This morning I worked out early, since I have errands to do today. I'm going to have to make time to work out, because I return to work Monday and I have class on MTWT and Saturday. I'll figure it out. Anyway things are going good!   Be Blessed!

Work Out

Well I'm another pound lighter!!! Finally after a week of workouts I've dropped another pound:clap2: I have 7 pounds to go to meet my March goal of 15lbs. I get my first fill on 3/28, I'm pushing to meet my goal by then:eek: !!     Work Out   Treadmill-2.03 miles previous record broken Time-33:00 needs improvement 31:49 or less Calories-263 previous record broken Fat Calories-82 needs improvement 84 or higher     Be Blessed!

Work It Out!!!

Well yesterday I did my 3 1/2 miles at the park and I felt so good! Not to mention I lost another pound! So that's three pounds from my fifteen pound goal for this month. Then last night as I was getting ready to go meet with some friends I decided to "try" on another pair of my jeans from three years ago and they fit BETTER now than they did then!!!! We had a girls night out and danced and I did my salsa and merengue and tore the floor UP! So I am too happy...I don't think I have ever said this before, but I love my BAND! Well Well Well

Or should I say surprise, surprise. I went on 7/17 for my 3rd fill and after arriving I was told that Dr. T was running late and that he will be in around 1pm. Well my appointment was at 10:15 so I decided to stay. Well after waitin two hours I was told that he wasn't coming in at all!!:smile: So they rescheduled my fill for 7/31, I was so mad! So hopefully nothing will interfere next week! I need a fill bad!!!   Be blessed!

Weight Loss More Energy

Yesterday I worked out on the treadmill again and did a bit better!:clap2: .   Menu on yesterday:   Breakfast: 1/2 cup of 1/3 less sugar Frosty Flakes w/ skim milk Lunch: Less than 1/2 cup of Cajun crab dip w/ crackers (8) Dinner: 1 crab cake Snack: 1 Sugar free popsicle   Workout:   Miles: 2.01 Calories: 262 Fat Calories: 82 Time: 31:50 MPH: 4.0   I MUST keep it up to reach my goal weight by the end of June!   Be Blessed!

Waiting on Test Result

Hello,   I am now waiting on my test results, before I can get a surgery date. I need to know when it is so I can get prepared. School starts back up on January 16th and nothing will keep me from school! I called Nicole at Dr. Madan's office to see if I could get an approximate date, but she said I will have to wait a few more days. I wanna have it done on 1/8 or 1/9. I think I will feel good enough to go to school the following week. Anyway...I know I am ready for CHRISTMAS!!! YEA!!! Waiting game

Hello everyone,   I am sitting here reading about all the upcoming surgery dates and hoping I will here something this week. I checked my UHC claims online, but I only see where they have processed my visit with UT Medical. I am ready to get rolling...hopefully I will get banded sometime in December.   Sheila Be BLESSED!

Until My 3rd Fill Day 3

Today is day 3 on the pre/post opt diet. And I plan on continuing until my 3rd fill on 3/20.   Breakfast: Nectar Peach Shake/Lipo6   Lunch: Broth/Jell-O   Dinner: ???Protein??   Be blessed!:confused_smile:

Until My 3rd Fill

On 3/6/07 I started the Pre/Post diet to jump start my weight loss again. I am sick of these 13 or so pounds lingering around. So today is day two and I only had my Nectar shake for breakfast. I also took a Lipo6 so I am not hungry even at 6:48 (cst). I go for my 3rd fill on 3/20 and I really hope Dr. T will give it to me. The last time he said I didn't need one :confused_smile:! Well I know I need to drink another shake or have some broth.   Until next time...   Be blessed!   P.S. It's finally SNOWING!!!!

Today is day six on liquids and I am holding up good. But I am getting a little tired of it though. I took a Lipo6 today and had my chicken broth, jello, and Nectar shake.   Be blessed!

UHC Approval!!

I am finally approved for the Lap Band!!! Yet still nervous and scared...point blank. I guess it's the whole idea of putting something inside me that do not belong. I feel like I am saying the same things over and over again, but I can't help it. I've had a breast reduction before so it's not the surgery that is bothering me. I don't know...I'm just scared:cry   Sheila Be BLESSED!

Two Years Ago Today

Wow I can't believe that 2yrs ago today I was preparing myself to be banded on January 11, 2007. Sooooo much has changed since then and I do mean SOOO much. But I thank God that most of the changes has been good changes. However there were others that were bad and scary. Just to elaborate a little my job was relocated and I had to find another, but thankfully I found one a week later. On a more personal note I have maintained my weight and exercise for almost two years. Although I am not at my goal of 170 I am working really hard on accomplishing that goal by January 11th 2009. In a few hours I will begin a new chapter in my life and I must admit that I am looking for to leaving a lot of people in 2008. I am looking forward to not being too nice, don't get me wrong, but when I say that I look forward to not being too nice, I mean to people that do NOT deserve me or my kindness....can you believe a very special person that I hold close to my heart said that me being too nice was "wierd" I was atonished! I'm like damn shivery is dead indeed! But that person is one of the ones that I plan on leaving in 2008(but I will need strength). Anyway I am getting to windy here so I wish everyone a Happy and FULL New Year(the #9 means fullness and FAT in the Hebrew language(I hope I got that right)) meaning that one will be full of blessings and it also means re-establishment and return. I expect God to re-establish me in 2009 and give me a return on everything that I have lost in the past years!!So Happy New Year and great blessings!!!   Be blessed!:thumbup:

Two weeks on liquids

Try Try Again Liquids for Two Weeks

Today is was day one of the liquid phase. I am trying to get that momentum back if at all possible. SO! I had 52 grams of Whey protein and sugarfree juice and one popsicle. And I went running in probably 99-100+ degree weather. I pray I can continue...but I do have another fill scheduled for Wednesday the 28th of this month. This fill will be number five in over three years. Until tomorrow, Keep the Faith.

Trial and Error

Okay late last night I did eat fried smoke sausages in the red skin after my husband left to hang out w/ some friends. He would not let mess up this liquid thing...they were SUPER GOOD!!! I am wondering if I do the liquids and some kind of meat, if that would be okay? It will be like the Atkins diet, no breads or starches...any way I may do that. I will check w/ my care cordinator Tuesday to make sure. I did walk over a half of mile last night on my treadmill in 15 mins (didn't even break a good sweat). I felt good afterwards, but today I walked a little over three miles in about 45 mins at the park...it felt good to be back at my favorite park. My mom has never walked with me before and she walked a mile and a half:clap2: . Just last Sunday she was at the ER bent over in pain related to her back! Well as for my 2nd day of the pre-opt thing (YUCK), I've had one New Whey Protein shot w/ half of cup of skim milk blended w/ice, three sugar free popsicle (yum) a cup and a half of beef broth w/ Ramen noodle seasoning (left over from last night) and that's it! I will have tomato soup later and sugar free jello.   Be BLESSED,   Sheila:)

Treadmill Workout

I will admit that I do not like the treadmill. I can walk 3 1/2 miles at a hilly park, but on the treadmill I normally do over 1 1/2 mile in 30 minutes. However, last nighht I did 2 miles, burned 260 calories, 81 fat calories in 32:55 minutes and I was jogging the entire time! That's a treadmill goal for me! I'm trying to break this stupid plateau! Anyway, my menu yesterday:   Breakfast: Nothing Lunch: Half of Orange Roughy stuffed w/ crab cake and shrimp Dinner: 1/2 cup of 1/3 less sugar frosty flakes w/ skim milk     Be Blessed!

Today

Well when I leave work I'm heading to school until around 7:30 and I will come straight home and WORK IT OUT!!! I will break my treadmill record today!!!   Breakfast- Grapes and Crackers (8) Lunch- About 10 Sun Chips Snack- Grapes Dinner-Nothing Snack- Sugarfree Blue Bell The Great Divide (YUMMMM)   Be Blessed!

The Ups and Downs

I go for my eight fill this week and I'm kinda down. I think I will forever struggle with my weight. Even after being banded, I knew the band wasn't a cure but this up and down is really getting to me. I'm going to start back to square one with liquids and see what happens AGAIN!

The Process Begins

Today is October 27th and I have made up my mind to have the Lap Band procedure. I've gone to the Dr. Woodman's (901-869-2000) seminar and have spoke with so many nice people here on LapBandtalk.com that have made me feel that this is a great decision. I have scheduled my first appoinment with Dr. Woodman (Novemeber 3rd, day before my birthday)I've also made an appointment with the nutritionist (Jennifer Krog 901-767-3576) and I am in the process of waiting for the psychologist nurse to call me back to set up and appointment with the psychologist (Dr. Mace Coday 347-8206). Oh yeah I am also waiting for my primary care physician to send me the letter of reccomending the Lap Band and my medical records. So hopefully everything will go smooth, but I am expecting so bumps in the road. I will update you all soon on my process.:drum:

The Biggest Loser

Tonight was the finale of my favorite show The Biggest Loser and I am so happy for Erik! They all did a fabulous job...I love Bob! He is so cute to me, I wish he could move in to whip me into SHAPE. Anyway, I met a lady at church last night who had the lapband surgery on November 21st and she looks good already! After talking to her, I feel better. I am trying to focus on other things right now, my mind need a huge break. For the past weeks I have been studying for school and taking tests and not to mention getting my approval during it all. I need to relax and focus on my SAVIOR'S BIRTHDAY!!! I live because he was born...well that's all I have for now.   Be BLESSED!   Sheila:)

Okay while at work I was listening the FINE DON OMAR! So I brought him on to the house with me (I wish) and instead of getting on the treadmill I danced (salsa & merengue) to his music and danced off another pound! Preciate ya Don Omar! Test Complete

Hello Everyone,   Today was the GI test and it wasn't bad at all...but for some reason I woke up singing Beyonce's "Irreplaceable" song. The nurses thought that was funny. Anyway it was aight...the anesthesia was GREAT! I should get a surgery date on Wednesday, so I am excited now and not that nervous for once. Surgeon Change

Hello everyone,   I have decided to go Dr. Atul Madan at UT Medical, since Dr. Woodman charges an additional 500.00! I've did a lot of research and I feel comfortable with my decision. My primary care physician sent my letter of reccomendation to me today, so I have all the necessay paper work to submit to UHC.
