I have made it to week 3 Turbo Fire and I'm am so proud of myself. I can totally tell the difference in the scales and my clothes. Down another 2.3 lbs this week. Total lost Post op wk 28(-60 lbs) Went to JcPennys and tried on size 14 jeans; not 14W and they fit. Little snug in the theighs but they fit- I can breathe in them and everything. Next week is crazy-hectic so I will have to do a 5:15 am workout to Turbo Fire ( oh how I know this will be a challenge b/c my body/muscles hardly wake that early for an intense workout) but I'm gonna push it. This is so that my evenings I can do the couch to 5k week 5 training so I can be ready for my next 5K race susan g komen. I did so good for the ovarian cancer race because i've trained up to week 4. I couldn't believe I was doing it- like totally surreal. So I will do the S.G Komen race October 16 to the couch to5k week 5. Three wks to get the body ready for it. Im READY !!!

I am so grateful to the change that I have made in my life- on this day Dec. 15 is my belated mother Birthday. She would be so proud of what I have accomplished and know she is smiling at me. I miss her so much!

I'm SO Ready for 2011 !!!
For me..... Being told by Dr I was diabetic and would have to go on insulin if I didn’t lose some weight and eat right. Next, being able to keep up with my girls in their activities-the weight was slowing me down. Being able to go my daughters school and visit w/her and the other kids not laughing at her b/c her mommy was fat(true story). Being able to go on vacations with husband and not have to ask for a seatbelt extension. There are many other reasons but those are the major ones. I just really feel healthier altogether!
So, once again If I stay consistant, follow the lapband rules and have a motivation/inspiration I do so much better. I have big events upcoming and I wont to feel and look my best. Las Vegas Meet n Greet (May), Hawaii anniversary trip (June), fitting for bridesmaid (August), new school assignment (August). With that said...I can't be slacking and acting like I don't know how and what to do to lose this weight I put on. I saw one of my videos from April last year and I had actually gotten down to 218 lbs. Really !!! See, if you are reading this blog....DO NOT take a break from living as a bandster! Its a daily life changing event. If you take a break, eat whatever you want, exercise some, not follow the LB rules; you can and will gain the weight back and FAST.
I will not let this happen again...once I get to my goal weight I must maintain. My doctor recommended goal weight for my body type and all that is 221 lbs. When he told me that I was like What!! Dang thats still FAT. He was like for you it would be good and you will be healthy, a smaller size. He was so right even though I saw 218-due to a liquid diet I'm sure... I still bounce back and forth all over the 220s. So, I won't be hard on myself Like I was last year. I won't just say' ugg forget it why work this hard and I'm not losing'...so what if I don't bounce in the 220s for months...years...I will be the best me in years.! With that said Never Giving UP is my motto for life.
I have stayed consistant this week-eating basically the same meal plan daily,exercising at least 30-60 minutes, not eating and drinking together, not eating High calorie sweets (been doing the Weight Watchers desserts), eating protein first in all my meals and snacks.
Sample of my Meals this week....
Brkft- Mocha Latte Protein
Snack- Tuna in pouch w/ light mayo
Lunch- Healthy Choice meal- taking out the carbs and adding more veggie
Snack- Protein Smoothy ( made w/ protein, ice, hawaiian punch single, fresh strawberries) or one day I had a protein bar
Dinner- Tilapia(sauteed)no salt, Stir Fry Veggies, and starch ( usually risotto, couscous,red potato)...later after if I have a desire a weight watcher dessert.
---- Workouts T/R zumba of course and all other days 30 min of either walk,kettlebell, softball (I coach) or bowl ( i'm on league)
So, I will be eating the same way till I go to Hawaii.... I will eat different in Vegas but will make good choices.
I must and will stay consistant.... I really like seeing the scales go down! Its motivating and not depressing of course. I'm the type that need to weigh daily.
A New Year 2011 brings forth new goals/plans and commitments. I have many to achieve by like 2010 the first on my list is my Health. For many reasons I will continue on my journey to be at a healthy weight. 1. To live longer 2. To promote or fight off future diseases 3. To be a better mother,wife,sister ( woman).
I feel that my mother would be so proud of me if she saw me now but even more when I go to my doctor and they tell me I am at a healthy BMI, weight and do not run the risk of pre-diabetes any longer. wow what a joy that will be. I will be so overwhelmed with happiness and I know that she would be too. My life has changed in 2010... i realized that I have to put me first to be of any help to anyone in my life. I have workout 5-7 times a week since Jan.2,2010. I have done 2- 5k walk/races. I have eaten less sugar and more protein. I have drank 48-64 ounces of water daily. I have challenged myself and started Jogging something I never thought I'd do in this life time ( i can actually jog 3miles @4.0 speed w/o stopping. WoW, who knew. So, with this said I will continue in 2011 on my list. I will meet my goal of 175 lbs and heck probaly even lose more than that.......
My Goals:
1.*Lose 125 lbs total from Dec. 26, 2009- June 1, 2011.
2.* Complete workout programs- ChaLean Extreme and P90X in 2011*
3. Eat Healthy & Clean and eliminate Sugar/Processed foods.
4. Run a 5K race. ( no walking)
My Program:
1. 65-80 grams Protein . Take MulitiVitamins daily .
2. Eat up to1100 calories/day . Protein first +Veggies and Complex Carb
3. Drink up to 65 ounce H2O .
4. No Carbs after 3pm. No eating period after 8pm.
5. Eat 3 small meals a day.

Finished My first 3 mile JOG-Couch to 5k Wk9 Day 1!!!!!! So happy this time last year I couldn't even walk 30 mins good.Im so Happy.
Its crazy I just got on the treadmill and put it on the wk 9 podcast. I said to myself well if I can get to at least 20-28 mins of it I know next week i can do 30 mins-- then I just keep running. And she said on the podcast you have just finished 3miles congrats. Ok I felt like Rocky! LOL! I know now I can do 3 mile jogs starting 3 times a week . I am still 217 lbs well gained .4 so 217.4. My first Couch to 5 K jog was in July at 245 lbs and I struggled with jogging 30 second intervals at 2.0 speed. I am happy to have this opportunity in my life.
So glad my last day @ work is this friday the 17th I am planning out my workouts for the next two weeks till I return work Jan.2. A whole New Year for A Fit Me. So, really come the new year I need a new title for my page. From a A Fit Me N 2010 to.. umm gotta think about it.

So thats 2 weeks planned workouts!! From 45 mins to 2 hrs daily. Goal to weigh in between 205-210 for Jan.1, 2011. I was shooting for 200 lbs on the dot ( may be it will happen maybe it won't) Thats a lot to lose in 2 1/2 wks.
So, I got a $5.99 Salad from Wendys and granted it taste good. But why SO much, I could've gotten a Number 1. Burger,Fries and a Drink for $4.59. So, if ya broke and you wanna eat healthy can't get a good salad. Now they got a salad w/ basically lettuce and a couple shreds of cheese. LOL !! Ya right. Anyhow, I was just trying to make a good food choice at a fast food resturant and it cost me! I have even started shopping a the organic health food store more often for groceries. Ya, I can't do that every week/ its breaking me. So, I just gotta cook better with the regular foods. Well, I'm glad to have this 3day wkend off. I can focus back on my workouts and eating. Hope all have a great weekend.
A new month is arriving October: Did you know that according to the American Heart Association, for every 30 minutes that you workout, you add an extra 2 hours of life expectancy, even if you start in middle age!!!??

I have decided to change my workout schedule because just doing Turbo Fire and Random other workouts isn’t giving me the results I want. I am looking for a toner slimmer look. I need to focus more on burning more fat than losing a lot of weigh on the scales. I have almost become obsessed with what the scales say. So my friend and fitness coach Tamika will be we working with me 2x a week on Circuit training. I don’t know what she has in store for me but I do know she is hardcore and I’m scaredJLOL! Now I’m ready. I need to be pushed to the next level. Sometimes if I’m not seeing results I get so discouraged and want to give up. But I know giving up is not an option. I must reach my goal. So, here is what we came up with to get to my goal….
Monday- Turbo Fire/ Fire 30 or 45 @ 5am
Couch to 5k@7 pm
Tuesday- Turbo Fire/ Sculpt 30 + Core 20 @5am
Zumba @ 4-5pm
Wednesday- AM-REST
Couch to 5k@7 pm
Thursday- Turbo Fire Sculpt 30 + Core 20 @5am
PM-REST
Friday- Turbo Fire/ Fire 30 or 45 @ 5am
Circuit Training with Coach Tamika/24hr Fitness @ 8 pm
Saturday- Couch to 5K run/walk @ anytime b4 or after soccer games.

I didn't have the time to write of my success last night-but I finished Week 6 Day 3 of the couch to 5k program- A Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then jog 2-1/4 miles (or 25 minutes) with no walking. I was SO stuck on Week 5 for months. I feel great that I could jog anything but to have come this far is surreal to me. . Me Jogging! WOW! Now my speed is 4.0 which is not the fastest but for me it is .
Well, I will start Week 7 Day 1 in two days Sunday, Dec. 12 and I will do A Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then jog 2.5 miles (or 25 minutes) then again next Tuesday and Thursday. I'm so close to finishing the program of 3 miles nonstop. I will probaly continue to jog the 3 miles 3x a week at an incline of 2.0-3.0 same speed. I'm also doing great in Zumba Toning class I'm now dancing more songs with the 5lb weights than the 3lbs. My clothes -14 pants are really fitting loser . I will weigh myself on Sunday morning to see what I have accomplished. I really haven't been going by the scales much these days but more by my clothes. I was getting a little obsessed with weighing myself everyday. The body so tricky. I have been eating very good I haven't had any Sweets/Junk for 7 days now and haven't went out to eat. 3 meals a day and lots of water. My 3 meals are lean meats, veggies, oatmeal, egg whites, turkey sausage. I am going to continue for the month with what I'm doing I feel Great !!!
