so happy

Well i am trying to figure out this new set up , it has been a while since i have been on this sight.. I am doing well my weight is not coming off as quick now. I have lost about 45 lbs total. But it is my size i am loving i tried on my first pair of 12 and i can button them yippeee. Although there is still a little muffin top when i do but i cant believe i fit into a 12.not to bad coming from a size 20. I still have to think healthy and eat healthy, i wont say i dont cheat here and there with a cookie or piece of cake but i try not to do that alot. I have joined a gym and have started last week. I had some health issues and was unable to excersize or even do walking distances so i am happy even for the small amount of excersize i can do. I have given away so many bags and bags of clothes that were to big for me that felt wonderful! I do wish i knew how to add pics on here before and after i am amazed at myself when i look at them. Actually i printed them and have them hanging on my wall at work to remind me of what i was. Still not smoking not even a puff that alone makes me feel great so glad i dont smoke anymore and if the band was my motivation for quiting so be it. I do wish everyone the best of luck patience and a wonderful journey i do believe this is a wonderful thing.

Happy Camper

Well my Drs visit went well i lost 7 lbs without excersize i was so happy and what makes me happier is i am under the 200 lbs woot woot ! I was worried as i am unable to really excersize but am getting around still doing things. they only gave me a half of a cc and didnt really want to they think i am very close to my spot . I think i am to but i still wanted a fill so far so god i dont think it was a wrong move. Now the Dr doesnt want to see me for 3 months ugggggg thats so long i so liked going and getting on the scale every month at the drs office i do have a scale but its not the same as stepping on the scale at the drs office. My friends have been telling me to get rid of my clothes and start wearing more fitted things which is hard to do even though i have lost weight and need to wear smaller sizes i still see myself as a size 20-22 but am happy to say i am fitting into some 16 pants and XL tops yipee! I am also making a pile of my clothes that are to big to donate the pile is getting bigger. Well thats it for my blog kinda rambbled alot this morning. Hope everyone has a great day :thumbup:

Live and learn

Well i had my first episode of throwing up last night. It was not a good feeling took forever to get that feeling out of my chest. I know it was my fault i was eating to fast and not chewing good enough and it got stuck. I do think its a wrok in process sometimes we feel so good we forget and you have to train yourself to chew well and eat slow. On the brighter side i took out some old clothes and tried them on i was very pleased to fit in them again although i still have a ways to go i am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel . I am starting to make a pile of my old clothes that are to big to donate them.. hmmm to big i never thought i would say that. I am looking forward to going to the Drs on Wed to get my 3rd fill and to step on the scale never thought i would say that either. Wish me luck!

excersize

So i have been dealing with an issue with my foot for months now. I went to the Dr and now they have put my foot in a boot saying it looks like a ligament problem. So my question is will i still loose weight if i am not walking and excersizing? I was just banded on June 1st. :thumbup: I trully hope i do i have done everytjing i was suppose to and i am just hoping this doesnt mess it up.

Gross

well think i had my first case of foaming ewwww this is detaield and graphic sorry. But it was like i felt like i was gonna throw up and i would burp and foam was in my mouth so i kept spitting theni had to oull over get out of my car and walk a bit then i was ok. God dont know how i avoided throwing up but thankfully i didnt. So is what happened to me tonight called foaming? Thanks and sorry again for being detailed.

Slowwwww

OK so i think what happened to me last night was totally my fault i ate to fast. Now that i have a little restriction going on i need to chew and eat slower and i need to be conscience and make sure i do this as i was starting to eat my lunch and got the same feeling as last night so i stopped put my food away then when that feeling was gone i tried eating again only much much slower and counting while i was chewing and it went down no problems . I am glad to have some restriction this time after my fill Wednesday as i really had no resrtiction before.

Yeah!

So so so glad i did this banding. I went for my second fill today he upped my fill from 5 cc to 7 cc and I lost another 2 1/2 lbs i must be doing something right because i am loosing weight... so liquids for a day or two then mushies and soft .....then wow back to normal. Cant wait till i am under 200 i am getting close yeah

Almost time for my 2nd fill

wll think i had my first time of getting food stuck last night. I was eating a burger and didnt get through half way and i felt a feeling in my chest. I got up from the table and just walked around my house grabbing a pepermint tictac and sucking on it. Had my daughter throw my plate out . I couldnt even look at it. The feeling lasted about 10-15 minutes and then after several tic tacs and pacing around the living room the feeling went away. So I am pretty sure that i had my first restriction thank god i did not throw up. i dont think i have lost alot of weight either :rolleyes2: 1 maybe 2 lbs since my last fill if i am lucky i sure do hope i have. Keeping my fingers crossed cant wait till Wednesdays fill :bye:

meeting

Well i am off in a little bit to my first lap band meeting. What i hope to get out of it is encouragement , friendship, ideas , hope, and to know i am not alone and all the fellings uos and downs i have are normal and that they have had the same feelings :rolleyes2: wish me luck!

frustrated

well i havent lost any more weight since i got my first fill :rolleyes2: and to make matters worse i have been so hungry i cheated and had salsa and chips a couple days uggg mad at my self for cheating and disapointed to.

Yeah

Cool am so happy i lost 5 more lbs in two weeks> i had my first fill today 5 cc . I havent seen the number that was on that scale in so long. What an emotional ride this journey is. After i was done i went to my car and cried they where happy tears so it was a good thing . So a day of liquid then a day of mushies and then YEAH real soft food cant wait!!!!

Is there a difference between sugar free and fat free? Iwas told i could have sugar free pops and bought fat free ones by mistake. Whats the difference?

Hungry

Well i am on my first week of mushies and i am hungrier now then when i was on the liquid diet.Did anyone elese feel this way? i cant wait to be on real food and plan meals i am haven a hard time planning with the mushies :smile2:

2 wk post op dr appt

Well tomorrow is the day to go see the dr, step on the scale and to see when i will get a fill....so many questions i want to ask. Hope the scale will be kind to me and i hope i will get a fill soon. Dont think i am going to like mushies to much so if anyone knows of any tasty mushies i would love to know... thanks:rolleyes:

OMG gas

Ok so i am haven extreme amount of gas . I am not in pain but my stomach is constantly gurgling very loud to i might add and i need to fart all the time. Is this normal? I am two weeks post op and still on a liquid diet. How long does this last has anyone elese experienced this?

A little worried

So my friend laughed at me when i said i cant wait for real food. I am still on a liquid diet right now my second week. She said i will never be on real food again. I will wont i? It will just be smaller amounts and wiser choices right? just not stuff that is ull of fat. I sure do hope i am right and not her.Thoughts anyone?:bored:

Although i cant swim yetas its only day 7 after my banding. Does any one know of any water excersizes you can do in an above ground pool? I would really love some ideas and workouts to do any ideas are appreciated thanks:rolleyes:

the day before

Well liquid diet has started today before my surgery . I am nevous,been sucking down broth and water like crazy savoring my green jello for dinner :frown: I did not have to go liquid diet before my surgery is that normal? or is it because the i lost the required weight and then some before surgery? Well guess it doesnt matter cause the surgery is tomorrow.Does anyone know how the whey protien drink is>? that is what they recomended but do i mix it with water or the 1 percent milk?

6 th day

Wow june 6 . Six days after my surgery hard to believe. I am starting to feel normal, sleep is getting better i can sleeo on my side. Not as sore and can bend easier now. Doing ok on my liquid diet am very anxious to see my dr but i have another week to go. I think i have lost weight to i am looking forward to stepping on the drs scale.

Pre op to post op

So new at this sight not sure how to do things or how to add friends. Please feel free to add me as a friend but i will warn you i will have alot of questions, My banding is on june 1 2010 and i am excited yet nervous. I am sure i will be on this sight almost all day tomorrow as i do my liquid diet. I will need words of encouragemnt as i will give encouragement to you as well. Looking to build friendships and share thoughts and feelings. Hope you will join me in my journey.

june 2

Day after suregry and its not to bad... I am a bit sore a little loopy still but i have been doing my liquid diet. whet protien drink is not to bad, i havent taken any pain meds today. Although i might tonight before bed just so i will sleep. I did put pillows on both sides last night as i do like to sleep on my side and tummy but it was ok with the pillows. I think i am going to try and get walking by friday when i am less sore. But i am definantely going to drive by friday going crazy already stuck in the house. I will keep you all posted.

Well day 3. Doing well trying to get protien in and sticking to diet. I still feel gassy and i have a small pain in my side. But i think its cause my stomach mussles are sore. Feeling very tired though. Hope to feel better tomorrow so i can go for a walk i am still pretty sore.

Smiles

So i went to the drs i am down 7 lbs. I maybe would have been down more as i have been doing to many protien shakes lol but i am happy for the loss. I am now onto mushies we will see!!! The Dr could feel my port he was surprised he said usually you are to swollen still to feel it. He did say though that he thought i was just a bit swollen still amd to wait for a fill. I get my first fill June 30 so excited nervous and scared... but i cant wait and then i will be on to real soft food

Random

Yum my first mushy food for lunch delicious nothing fancy 1/4 cup mashed potatoe and 2 tbs of cheese. It tasted great i will be planning out my meals soon. It is easy right now as i am a teacher and am off for the summer i only bartend saturdays so i will be pondering what to bring with me then ... i am so excited lol:drool:
