I guess I spoke too soon

GOOD MORNING!! Well my last post was me sobbing about not having lost hardly any weight so far...blah blah blah. Well I received my 3rd fill on 8/16 and have lost 7 pounds! That's half a month! Stepped on the scale and FINALLY reached my short term goal. I'm officially in the one hundreds at 198.8. YAY me!!   What's changed since my last post is well the fill of course helps a load. So I don't eat as much AND i have been on the treadmill for 30 minutes 4 times a week. I don't think I will ever be doing more than 30 minutes as I hate to work out and have to push myself everyday. But seeing these results helps me with that extra push.....new dilemma.....spending money on clothes that fit better. hahaha There's always something! :tt2:

Somewhat dissapointed

Ok....I know that everyones different. I have been reading through blogs trying to find someone with my situation but cannot find them. I had my surgery 5/15 (exactly 3 months yesterday). I have only lost a total of 10 pounds since surgery. I am not eating terribly. I watch what I eat but I don't feel that fullness that many people have been experiencing. I havent realy been working out due to my personal schedule. But even if I thought at least more weight would have been lost...   So yesterday was my third fill and I am hoping that this will show some improvement. I had half a sandwich and felt good...not full but good. I had the other half for lunch and a very small dinner......I even managed to go on the treadmill for 30 minutes. I truly hope that the weight will start coming off.   If anyone has any suggestions or maybe has had the same experience at one point PLEASE let me know that I'm not alone.   Thanks!

No day like today!!

I got banded today at 11:00 am at Strax Rejuvenation. Everything went great! The procedure itself was 45 minutes. When it was over there was some discomfort but they quickly gave me some pain medication. The rest of the day went fine. Not much pain and I walked on the treadmill for the gas at only 1 mph but it helped. The only thing I didn't like out of the whole procedure was that I had huge dark bruises. Apparently they nicked a blood vessel which caused the bruising but it's nothing to worry about. I hear the second day is worse but I got my trusty Gas X strips and my Oxycodone so I'm good to go. I'll be posting pics up shortly with my official before pics. I am looking foward to a healthier, skinner more confident me!!

My decision

I have been overwieght for most of my life and have been on a diet for as long as I could remember. Everyday is full of awkwardness. Between the tight pants that pinch my belly to the rolls on my back that cannot be hidden. Everything about being overweight is horrible. I have a healthier less out of breath person inside me that wants to come out.   I have always known that surgical procedures were out there but my insurance didn't cover it and I thought it would be too expensive to do on my own.   One day my sister, who has had her own weight issues, told me she was getting the lapband procedure done with Strax Rejuvenation. She encouraged me to try have my own consultation. After meeting with Dr. Choi I was hooked. He answered all my questions and thankfully the procedure is not as expensive as I originally thought. I was approved the same day, had some tests done and met with the nutritionist.   I chose to have my surgery on May 28 and will be starting my pre op diet on May 3rd. I am super excited to begin my new way of life and will be posting updates periodically along with pics.   Wish me luck!!

1st day of pre-op diet

Ok so today started off good. Took my pills and drank my shake which I had to add coconut oil to and it tasted great! Then a fews hours later the hunger kicked in.....urgh I thought those appetite suppressants where supposed to work! For lunch I did not have a blender so I stirred all the ingredients and it was gross. The coconut oil was clumpy and it was difficult to swallow.....dinner was great 'cause I had a small steak and mixed veggies. I need to really think of a way to make lunches shake better......oh well. I have an appoinment on Saturday which will be my next posting. Hopefully I would have lost some weight.

Got my pre-op package

Yay 2 days til my pre-op diet....excited about loosing some weight and being closer to my surgery date....not so much excited about the starving part . So I was given Curcumin, Citrin Plus, YES tablets and Right Whey meal replacement shake. The first week is a shake in the morning and in the afternoon and a small dinner (6 oz fish, chicken or meat w/a small salad, 3 different veggies and white vinager). The week of my surgery is all liquids, (shakes for morning, lunch and dinner). My next post will be on 5/3 to write how my first day went.....the nutritionist said I'd be a grouch.....let's see about that.
