..just starting to workout

it has taken me over 2 months to get the motivation to get my ass up 30 mins early , get infront of the TV and press play of 40 min cardio workout..I have to do it BEfore everyone wakes up. Im starting only 2 days a week and I am doing 100 tummy crunches. so hopefully i can keep it up for the winter...and see what I do once the noce weather comes back. Does shoveling snow count as a work out???:tongue2:   My legs, butt and shoulders are killing me right now... kinda pathetic really. But i have to do something to jump start my body...and i want to get rid of my belly, so that people stop asking me "how far along am i??" I have tried to convince my hubby to join me int eh morning workout...he is not obese but he could loose 20-30lbs and maybe that would help him with all the meds he is taking for this that and the other. BUT he is not getting up and i refuse to nagg him about it.   My twins Bday was yesterday, i cant believe thay are 3 already. my 6 year old daughter and i made them cup cakes...boy was it hard not to gobble up 2 or 3 of them...i did slip a bit...i could not resisit the frosting:bored:   Ok so hopefully in 3-4 weeks i will start seeing a differance now that im working out. It would be great to start the year 30lbs lighter....but most importantly that i can see it when i look in the mirrow have a great night!

Just another day...

Well i had Thanksgiving lunch ready and server by 1:30pm. It was only my kids, my husband and my mother this year. I made a roasted chicken that came out pretty good...atl easy i think so since i could not really taste much since i still have a cold. I did not pig out, i had my protein 1st but i could not reject the stuffing, so i made sure it was really wet and chewed like crazy.Now i am just reslly really thursty!! It has been 2 months since i got banded and i have lost 22 Lbs. I know it could be more if i worked out, but im happy. My goal for New Years is to loose a total of 30lbs by than. hope everyone had a good day!!:cool2:

there is hope at the end of the tunnel...

On my last blog i was fustrated over not being able to get ahold of a human at my Dr office.. Well yesterday i finally got a call back and the lady told me i could go in 10 days from now @ 10:15am take it or leave it. SO i said yes!!! I sure hope my husband can work from home that day. It takes me about 1 hour to get there but if there is taffic it can take much longer...so basically for a 20 min visit it will take me the whole morning to go and come back.   I sure hope my Dr doesnt give me any grieff over coming in early for my 5 th fill... why should i wait another month if i know i am not even close to my sweet spot and i am not loosing any weight... Sept 30th will be my 1 year...so my goal by then is to have lost a total of 60lbs.   Yesterday and today i did 1 hour on the elliptical...i basically dont get off till the machine tells me i have burned 500+ calories I like that machine better that the treatmill..it gets my hart pumping muvh faster and it is easyer on the knees   Hope everyone is doing well.

i love making list....

What i am doing right: - I am drinking 6-8 glasses of water a day - I gave up soda , caffeine and BREAD - I am working out 2-3 times a week. Usually before the 3 kids wake up and i dont get off the elliptical/treadmill till the machine tells me i have burned atleast 500 calories - I am realistic! - i keep a food journal - I weigh myself only once a week, on Mondays   What i am doing wrong - I can eat well over 1 cup of food per meal...ususally more like 12-14 oz - i am a "crunchy carb" junky and that has been hard to to give up I still eat chips, crackers, gramcrackers, corn chips...all the junk that slides right through - i have 3 small kids and it seems i spend more that half of my day in the kitchen fixing up meals, snacks and treats...so i end up graissing on bad food choices. - i have 2-3 alcoholic drinks per week ( i need it after a day with teh kids!!) -Just cant give up Rice... it must be a Latina thing! - I forget to take my vitamins, calcium and vitamin D 50% of the time - I am eating well over 1200 calories per day -I look at myself and see no real changes. I still look like i am prego. My list could go an and on...but i have to go do my 3rd load of laundry.... just needed to vent i guess. goodnight

finally a little restriction...

for the last 2 days while eatinning my dinner i have had to stop, get up from the table and go to the kitchen sink with the feeling that my last 2 bites are stuck and getting ready to come up.... the episodes last 15-20 mins. I know it is a good idea to eat your meals at the table but when you are surrounded by 3 small kids that are doing anything to get your attention ( playing with their food; requesting more juice, demanding more ketchup...ect) i think i cant relax and pay attention to what is on my plate and how i chew my food.   Anyways im excited that after 9 months i know have a little restriction....hopefully it is a sign that i am getting closer to my sweet sopt. I have nto weighed myself in almost 2 weeks...the scale has not moved in almost 2 months...so i think i will wait till next friday to do it.   I went to the gym 4 times this week...it wasnt easy. But it got done. On sunday i am seeing family that have not seen me since last July. Since then i have lost 40 lbs..im sure they are thinking i should have lost more. I will be wearing a bathingsuit ( yuck) I know they will see a difference in my legs, just because my skin is loose.   Ok...hope everyione has a great 4th of July!!!

candy candy!!!

Ok so i am 4 weeks POst Op. Lost 18 lbs so far and now comes the day when i am surrounded by candy. I have never had a big sweet tooth but i am craving a Kitcat or a Recesse. I have 3 small kids who are excited to go out tricker treating...i will go with them. But by tomorrow morning 80% of that candy has to be out of the house. My kids dont know what most of those candys are so i want to keep it that way. And i also what to they it away from me. Am i being mean? unfair? i dont think so, my kids do not have a weight problem, but i do not want a sugar overload that for sure will lead to Time Outs! I have my first fill in two weeks, i hope i can last. I am feeling hundry every 3 hours and so far i have not felt any restriction, BUT i am keeping an eye on portions, protein and CHEWING. 1st fill...feeling wiered and Thanksgiving is almost here

So i got my 1st fill on Thurs. This is after getting up with a cold and having to take my daughter to thr Dr just to find out she had STREP throat!! Thankfully my Dr found the port on the first try. He said my band was one of the larger ones and that we would start with 3cc and see how that does. The minute the saline went in i felt the pressure. Before i left he made me drink two glasses of H2O to make sure it went down. it did. So now i am back on liquids till Sunday night and them mushies..then maybe by Thanksgiving i will be able to have a bite of the roasted Chicken dinner i am planning to make...:rolleyes:yes i said chicken. I have never been a fan of turkey and since its only going to be 4 adults and 3 kids at the table it is not worth going though the trouble a turkey. I am planning on making a yummy stuffing ( my favorite)with apples, even thought i will probably not be able to pass it down. My goal not is to loose a total of 30lbs by Xmas>... only 11 lbs to go! My wish is to be loosing Slow but steady.
