So last month I had my 6th fill and i've finally hit my sweet spot. I won't be going in this month because i'm steadily losing every week which is awesome. I am finally in onederland!!! I weighed in this morning at 198 yipee!!
This is soooo exciting. I went shopping on the weekend at Pennington's and I am a size 14. I won't be able to shop there anymore because that's the smallest size they have. Can you believe it - I have to shop at regular stores now. AWESOME!!!
I am so looking forward to this summer at the beach. My goal is getting closer and closer. I love love love my band. Thank you slimband.
So I went in for my 5th fill. I got .75cc fill. Felt fine but by that night couldn't even swallow my own spit.
I went in the next day and had a .25cc defill. Felt fine and then a few days later the band tightened again had to go back in and have another .25cc defill.
Now I am at 8.75cc in a 10cc band and feel great. I think I am at my sweet spot for now.
Altogether - I am down 55 pounds as of this morning. What a wonderful feeling. Even though being overfilled was very uncomfortable - to get to the spot where I am at is great.
I can hardly wait until summer - going to the beach is going to be a totally different experience than in the past. Before people looked at me like I was a beached whale. This summer I am going to feel awesome and totally enjoy the water with my boys.
Thank you Slimband - I Love My Band.
This was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. I really thought that I would have to fight my food demons to be able to stay on track. I have been pleasantly surprised.
I eat 5 to 6 little meals a day - well 3 meals and snacks in between - all realtively small. I have followed the book of instructions that they have given and it really works.
I am now down 33 pounds as of this morning. I have had two fills - both successful and no complications. Reading other peoples blogs and the lap band diva group on facebook makes me very greatful. I haven't had any complications or problems.
Even my family is eating better - plus since I have been using our home gym all my sons seem to have started as well. Now there is a line up and a time schedule as to who gets to use the gym and when.
The last to follow suit was my hubby. My oldest son made a comment about him being Santa this year and I think that was the last straw. He started working out this week too.
I am so happy that I made the decision to get the lap band. I have a tonne more energy and just feel great everyday. My wardrobe has always been full of xxl to small and it is a joy to move my way back down the closet.
My hubby is already talking about how he can't wait to go to Victoria Secret shopping for me.
Well - all I can say is that every dime we spent was well worth my health, happiness and future.
Good luck to all in their journeys.
I'm down 17 pounds. Which is great. I have been walking every day for about an hour.
I have no restriction - so i just stop eating when I feel satisfied and not when I'm full. Never thought I would be able to do that. Wow.
All my incisions have healed nicely. I had very little shoulder pain from the gas of the surgery. It last for maybe two days and disappeared.
I bought three new shirts yesterday. All a size 2x - used to be a 3x. Feels good. Can't wait for the next few weeks to slip by so that I can get a fill. I will probably maintain this weight until then. No one has noticed my weight loss at work - however, my hubby, mom and sister have.
Things are turning out to be much easier than I thought - so glad that I had this operation.
Well - 20 more days until my surgery. Once the September long weekend is over I start my 10 day preop diet. :blushing:
I can hardly wait till I can get going on my new life. I joined the Aquatic Center near my house and after surgery will be getting a gym pass.
These last few weeks have been so long because I knew I was going to be having surgery and have been very anxious to start.
