I am a week into the band and ive been doing the protein shakes with skim milk or apple juice but i was thinking of putting it into a fruit smoothie with yogurt and fresh fruit.... Is it ok??? I mean as think as the protein is i dont think it will hurt. Has anyone tried that so early in the process.
Its been almost a year and I have not lost a good 40 lbs and kept it off. Once I hit 205 I have gone up and down as low as 198 and then it will go back up within days. A co-worker had the procedure (i went to her doc) and she is melting away. She weighed alot more but i dont think that that has anything to do with it. People notice my weight loss and they don't know I've had the procedure, had I lost this weight on my own I would be satisfied.. I'm so bummed.

I was banded on July 20,2009 at 8 a.m. The first day I threw up all day after drinking water... but i would drink water only when i got up to go to the restroom.. Immediatley after using the restroom I would throwup. I think i slept the first four days .. well i was in the the bed anyway, the gas was the killer for me, i was so uncomfortable.. I am doing much better now though. The 25 was the fist day that i felt hungry.... I went to my moms house and weighed myself..I'D ALREADY LOST 15 lbs!!! But i'm a little concerned now bucasue the protein and soups aren't doing it for me.. I snuck a teaspoon of refried beans .. cause it was really soft.. it helped .. but now i'm scared i will try more bean since it didnt hurt me.. I NEED SUPPORT to follow this diet.....
