Forty pounds gone!!!

I have lost as of today forty pounds since July 7! I feel like a different person. I bought a pair of 16 jeans from the Gap and they fit perfect. I am no longer in women's clothing sizes. I am so happy but people around me are starting to become jealous and making comments that I don't eat enough. I counter by saying..."well, I used to eat too much and you didn't say anything then." I am starting to feel like the old me again...the out going girl from ten years ago. I threw away the big girl panties and bought all new Victoria Secrets stuff...the lady said oh...you are a 38D and a large panty...I haev matching bra and panty sets for the first time in seven years. I am sooooo happpy!!!! Thank GOD for my mom who help me afford to have the lap band and for my doctor...Dr. David Rau...I love me more than I have in a long time and I am so happy to be back having fun!

to tell or not to tell?

I haven't told the guy I am seeing that I have had lap band ...not sure why...he thinks i had so type of female procedure done. What should I tell him? How do I tell him? How do you share it with someone you meet?

Two days post op

I saw a picture of myself and I couldn't believe it was me. Right then I knew I needed to make a change. I have struggled all my life with my weight. My ex left me because of my weight and he was embarassed to be seen with me. He never would admit it but I knew. He stopped taking me places. At my heaviest I was a size 22. I then went on prescription diet pills and got down to a 18...not small but at least better. Then after the weight loss stopped and it started creeping back on...I decided to have lap band May 2009. On July 24, 2009 I had my procedure. I know my life will change
