It's been 10 days since my surgery and I've lost about 15 lbs. I know the weight loss will start slowing down now but I will forge onward! I started walking Saturday and have managed to walk every day so far. I'm not scheduled for my first fill until April 8th. That seems so far away. I'm so scared that I will eat too much and not lose the weight like I want to. Guess I'd just better be really careful and try to stick to the diet. It's hard to get in 50 grams of protein and enough fiber! Any suggestions on getting the protein in? Thanks and good luck to all!
Well, I got my first fill on March 8th so it's been about a week and a half. I'm really disappointed because I'm not feeling much restriction at all - just sometimes. I am exercising really good. I've been getting in 60 - 75 minutes per day 6 days a week on my elliptical machine. After about 20 minutes my toes go numb! My doc says I need to add some weight training in and I know I do but getting to the wellness center is another story! Guess I better make more of an effort! I was able to maintain a 13 lb. weight loss my first month but don't feel like I've made any more progress - I don't like that! Well, just gotto hang in there and hope that the weight drops off anyway!
I'm am new to lapbandtalk.com and look forward to reading everyone's posts. I am scheduled to have my surgery Friday, March 13th. What a day to have surgery - Friday, 13th! Haha! It's a good thing I'm not supersticious.
I'm getting extremely excited as my surgery date approaches! I can't wait to get this weight off! My family goes to the Frio River to go tubing every summer and this is going to help make these trips so much more fun for me!
I'd have to say I'm not nervous about the surgery but I am very nervous about the "diet" afterwards. I pray that I have the strength and desire to really stick with this and do it the right way!
Wish me luck!
