My first week after surgery

Well this first week has been very interesting on a whole. There has been pain which subsides with medication. Growling of the stomach, dizziness. My start weight is 285 cant wait to see it go down.

First time I weighed myself

Today I started to weigh myself it has been 10 days since my surgery I started at a weight of 285 and am down to 267. Yay some weight loss. I was almost afraid to weigh myself on the scale but now i am very glad that i did. I decided that i will make it a weekly thing. only about 97 pounds to go. I decided this weekend I would join the gym and start cardio 3 times a week and work myself up to an hour. What does everyone think?:confused:

Today was a good day

Today is the 21 st I am 12 days post op and i went to join Planet Fitness today. It felt good to be doing something good for myself. I will not start going until my 2 week mark which is just a few days away. I am excited and nervous all at once to start exercising. The reason for that is I have tried before but always stopped cause I never saw any results. This time I am going to start off slow and working my way up to one hour three times a week. I figure I just need to take it one day at a time and maybe work up to weight lifting though that in itself always confundled me I never get how to use them and having someone show you is like pulling teeth or you have to go to a class which is at like 6 oclock at night but i will figure it out.

Today I am STARVING

Today is Sunday and I am starving I mean starving to the point where I have to force myself not to go into the fridgerator. And let me tell you the protein shake is just not cutting it. I had to go grocery shopping today and going down all the aisles were killing me. I swear my tongue was drooling. I can't wait to be able to eat even if its 1/4 cup of pureed food. I went and bought turkey, chicken tuna, light mayo, fruit cocktail light, cottage cheese, yogurt. hurray for yogurt it will be a feat just to get me to eat the yogurt and cottage cheese. Oh i bought reduced fat cheese and eggs. Definitly made me hungry

First day back at work

Today was my first day back at work and everywhere I turned there was food. My company is big on food. There was choc covered fruit, there was chicken quesidillas and everyone seemed to be talking about food. Maybe its just me and this has always been a reg thing and I'm just noticing but Food was like WHAM right in my face today. I was good though I didnt have the fruit with choc or anything I am still on protein drinks after all. Tommorrow I have my first doc apt and see how much Ive lost since my surgery. I can't wait to see and then its on to pureed food i believe. At least its some kind of food. I look forward to the day when i can eat normally i think thats four weeks away but it is hard listening to everyone talkin about food but i guess thats life.

went to the doc today

I went to the doc overall it was a good appointment he said i was doing great lost 18 pounds total in three weeks. He said that was amazing in itself. He put me on mushies yay for the mushies. I have been getting leg cramps alot lately as well as arm cramps. And dizzy spells has anyone had the same symptoms.
