Silly Question?????

What happens with your breasts when you loose a significant amount of weight? Do they shrink too?? Im kind of concerned because I am fairly heavy chested and I dont want a small waist and huge boobs. My fear is that they will sag and I will have to have a reduction or a breast lift

It's Done!!!

OK!.....I'm home. Had the procedure on 5/6/2009 at approx. 8:45 am. It was my first time "going under" but everyone was so nice and explained everything in great detail. Everything went well and I give all thanks to God for that. I have 5 small punctures/incisions. The incisions dont hurt much on a scale of 0-10 they are a bout a 1 or 2. Its the trapped air that is uncomfortable........0-10m they are about a 6 or 7. When the air pains would hit in the hospital I would get up and walk, and that helps the air move around and excape. Once these pains are gone I will feel great. I came home the next day at about 11 am. I needed to walk some so I asked my father to take me to the grocery store to pick up more liquid items to carry me thru the week. I think I did to much, I was really tired and sore once we got back home. Eating is good. Not much of an appetite but I refuse to dehydrate so I make sure I am sipping on liquids all day. My doctor sent me home with Lortab elixir and I was trying my best not to have to use it, but I find that if I take it around bedtime it helps the air pains so I can get some rest. Off to drink some broth now. This was a breif synopsis, but overall things went very well and I cant complain.

First fill!!!

I was very anxious:confused:. After reading a lot of the posts about fills, I was hoping that my MD was not the conservative type, giving only .5 or 1cc for the first fill. He gave me 3cc's!!!!. The whole fill took less than 20 seconds and I felt absolutely nothing. Totally painless procedure. I immediately felt the difference once I took my first sip of water. They performed a barium swallow after the fill and she told me that she could see a little reflux and to drink my entire bottle of water before I left and to notify them if I had any girgling. Honestly I had a little girgle with the first and second sip but I want restriction so bad that I refused to say something :wink2:. I can tell that it takes longer for my water to go down and I can feel the backup in my esophagus......not painful though. He wont do another fill until a month after the first so my next fill is scheduled on June 30th. I feel great about the fill and I am even more motivated to get rid of this extra weight :w00t:

Omg!!!! Wow!!!

First off.....I cheated today. Had my first fill yesterday and the clear liquid crap is killing me. Of course everyone in the office wants to eat Whataburger and root beer floats from Sonic today. Well, my friend got a chicken strip basket from Whataburger, and she knows of my band. She offered me a strip and a few fries...........and I accepted . I concentrated and chewed because I didn’t know what to expect since I just had a fill yesterday (3cc’s). Yes I cheated but I am glad I did because I was so full after just eating that!!! I have some restriction. Whether or not it is swelling from my fill or not I don’t know, but I love this feeling. It’s not painful but you definitely know that you have had enough. I just need to learn not to drink any fluids for 30-45 minutes after eating. I pray this feeling stays around. I pray it only takes one or two fills to get to my “sweet spot”. Time will tell.

Im approved!!!!

I found out today that I am approved for the procedure. I am so excited and nervous all at once. The surgery center called to schedule and she asked me what I thought about the 6th. I was amazed! That quick??? WOW! Only need 5 days of the pre-op diet and I go for my pre-op lab work on the 1st. I also found out that the procedure is covered 100% under my insurance!! God is so good!
