r u getting fatter?

so its my turn today to come on here and do some destrssing and try to get some feedback from some people on my life latley. well let me start off by saying that i was banded 2/9/09 and have dropped from 292 to 209 !! i still have a long way to go but i think im doing pretty darn good but i have a few issues my first issue i want to rant about is my family...they are just to darn hard on me at least i think see i still like with my parents and well i just feel like they watch me like a hawk...see about once maybe twice a week(rarley) i go out to eat with a coworker a sibling or friend and when i do my mom totally gets on my case and she goes on about how shes not the one that had the surgury and should not worry but i am the one who had the surgury and then i complain about what she cooks at home yet i go out to dinner with friends that i should know what im soing but shes just saying and blah blah blah blah!!(not to be mean) and im like seriously mom? is it really a big freakin deal that i actually ate out? i ve lost 80 something punds i think im doing pretty darn good i think i know what im doing why should i feel guilty because i ate at damn sizzler salad bar!! or what do you guys think?? then today my dad was like ur belly is getting bigger and pats my belly and youve gained some weight havent you?? i was like no!!(i really have not) and i was like are you kidding me?? your seriously telling me this right now?? then hell gut on my case bc i will eat l.f s.c sometimes or fat free cool whip or a banana and im like really?? your watching what im eating? again am i worng? then my other problem is that all my skinny coworkers are stashing the workplace with snickers starbust hot cheetos apple pies cookies and i obviously dont expect them not to do it because the fat girl cant eat it but how do i deal with them staring me in the face saying EAT ME!!:laugh: SERIOUSLY i ate 4 snickers mini today and hot cheetos...i never eat them unless they are in front of me i dont want to fall back into old habbits so how do you guys deal?:huh2:so im so glad i got this off my chest !! now for some feedback?

Please help me!!!

:sad:Hello all!! well i was banded on 2/9/09 and i got my first fill on 3/9/09 1.5cc with that fill i really did not feel any difference i was able to eat everything breads pastas etc of course not just because i could meant i did!! anywho i went back on 4/15/09 and much to everybodys surprise i had lost 17 lbs the nurses, P.A and my doctor were all in awe so the P.A asked what was going on why i had lost so much??? i told her i did not know?? i was eating about 5-6 oz of food and then a fruit of some kind this would satisfy me but would get hungry in between meals so she said "ok well we dont want to get you in that "red" zone" so you feel like you still need a lil help i said yes...after she could not find my port my Dr came in and questioned my 17lb loss as well after i explained to him everything he went in ang gave me 2cc's no now heres the problem since weds i can drink fluids fine i dont have a night cough or g.e.r.d BUT when i sit down to eat SMALL bites i get this "heart burn" feeling in my chest and i dont know if its heart burn or tighness(call me crazy) and then i get stuck for like 10 min and after that i can eat my meal with no prob what so ever??? yesterday i actually almost threw up i ran to the bathroom and gagged but nothing came up and then i felt better this is sooo frustrating because i cant sit down and have a "normal" meal can anyone PLEASE HELP!! is this normal?? am i borderline overfilled?? am i overfilled? please i dont wnat to go to go to the dr and get an unfill if i dont have to

5 Days Post-op

Hi everyone!!! soooo....this is my very first blog! and im very excited to get to know new people and share similar experiences as i have a long road ahead of me so let me start of by explaining a little about myself. I am a 24 year old nursing student who lives in california whos set to be married in april of next year i have always been heavy but never considered any surgery to help me get healthier so in august of 2008 i started my journey i had my surgery on Monday Feb 9th my sister birthday!! what a bummer and i had already lost 11lbs pre op i feel pretty great and the nurses at the hospital were very surprised with my quick recovery at the hospital i was up and walking in no time :drum: so 5 days out according to my scale ive lost 9lbs i dont know that that is possible im also still pretty sore and my back hurt alot also after i finish eating i start to feel like i need to burp but it hurts to do so, my stomach is growling all day too!! even after i finish eating does anyone share a similar experience??? anywho ive written alot i hope to get to meet new people soon!!!

Don't know where i stand

so i was banded on 2/9/09 so im almost 12 weeks out....everything about the surgery went great and i was up and ready in no time i was doing really great when i went in for my 1 week post op i had lost 13lbs and i was loving it:thumbup:!! i went in 4 weeks late on march 9th and got my first fill 2cc in a 10cc band...after the first fill everything was pretty normal my portion sizes were ok i guess i could eat about 4-6 oz of food and then a med fruit like an apple with no hunger in between. Some time after my first fill (maybe like week 2) i started to get hungry in between meals but still kept my eating to a minimum so when i went back for my 2 month post op appt on the 15 of april i had lost 17 lbs!!:thumbup: my doctor thought that was great and so did i but gave me a fill anyway because i said i was hungry in between meals and thats when it all began after that 2nd fill everything would get stuck!! even mashed potatoes i could drink liquids just fine and i did not pb or anything(almost did once i gagged but nothing came up) but all my food was getting stuck so i lost another 3lbs in 4 days i was so frustrated that i could not eat anything that i went in and got 1/2 of a cc taken out so now almost one week after that im hungrier than i was before i was "overfilled" for example today i ate 1 cup of coffee with some pound cake (bad food choice) for lunch i ate about 6 oz spaghetti and 1/2 a flour tortilla (anothr bad food choice:frown:) for a snack i had 1 string cheese and about 12 crackers then for snack number two i had a s.f ice cream sandwich (100 cal) and for dinner i had 4oz deli meat (turkey rolled up with avacodo inside and 16 crackers and about 12 small cubes of melon which i think is waaaay too much food so now im starting to think that getting that unfill was a mistake maybe i was not really overfilled:cursing: im really lost with this situation right now i dont know whats normal as far as portion and since the unfill i have not felt "full" i only stop eating becase i know i should not eat more...its also that time of the month and wondering if that has anything to do with it??? please help im a little dissapointed in myself right now bc of that unfill :thumbup:

4weeks post op

hi everyone!! so tomorrow is my 1 mont mark!! and so far so good. Since surgery i have lost 19 lbs and 1 pre op diet so a total of 29 lbs and it feels sooo good. So ive been eating regualr food for a week now and so far ive been able to tolerate everything ive eaten except a corn tortilla boy did that hurt!! but ive had whole wheat tortilla whole wheat pasta chicken, steak, and bread. I have my 1 month post op visit tomorrow and i don't know if im getting a fill??? and i dont know if anyone can help me with this but i dont know if i have restriction or not lol...ive only been eating 4-5 ounces per meal and i dont feel full but i dont feel hungry im not thinking about food all the time or waiting for lunch time or dinner time. I eat the 4-5 ounces bc thats what they say is "normal" not bc my body tells me to stop there so i dont know if i could eat more? also i dont know if ive been eating "good" maybe someone can help im going to give an example. every mornin i have a 1 egg omlet with 1-2 slices of turkey ham some diced onion and bell pepers totaling 4 oz for snack i may have just some string cheese or string cheese and 1 oz of thin deli ham turkey for lunch ill have 2 oz chicken 2oz vegetables and then a snack of some string cheese again maybe with some wheat crackers 4-5 small crackers and for dinner about the same as my lunch is this normal?? healthy??

4 wks post op

Not such a good day

hi yall!!! well i posted my first blog yesterday and i had a couple people respond....thanx alot. So today is blah!!! day im 6 days out and im not really hungry and i eat all my meals for breakfast i have 2 tablespoons of cream of wheat and 1/4 cup of unsweatened juice, for lunch i eat 1/2 cup of broth with v8 juice (1/4cup) and for dinner 1/2 of broth and water or crystal lite i also eat a pudding or jello between meals (sugar free) and a sugarfree popcicle but i just feel so weak like i need a picker upper and im so disguisted with the liquids i just hate chugging(sipping :drum:) it down any suggestions??
