I've got a date...

I got my surgery date! :biggrin2: It is November 6, 2008:biggrin2: I can not wait! I don't know how to act. My husband is ready for me to get this over with that way I will leave him alone. He is so tired of listening to me talk about it! He is happy for me, I just talk a lot! I know my "kids" (dogs) will be happy to have me home for that time. They are so rotten! I have twominiature daschunds. There names are Pinky & Minnie, who could have guessed that. LOL

Still Waiting...

I received a call from the dr. office this A.M. stating that they lady to schedule my surgery will call me before the end of the week to set a date. :biggrin2: I am really excited! I was just wondering how long most people stay out with the surgery? The people that I work with stayed out for two weeks. I have read many different things. If I'm not required to stay out for two weeks then I can this done a lot sooner then I thought. :biggrin2: I do now that before I have the surgery my doctor wants me to go have a screen put in my heart to prevent blood clots. I really hate needles!

Waiting....

I just got the call yesterday from my doctors office stating my insurance approved me for the surgery.   I am now waiting on my surgery date. I have been trying to find a protein drink that I can handle to start stocking up on them. Does anyone have any sugestions?   I am looking at having the surgery in November. It is going to have to wait a month or so to make sure I have enough vacation time at work....   I have been looking at having this done for about a year now... I have gone to meetings, watched three people I work with go through it and now it is my time.... :biggrin2:
