WOW where did the first week go? I just knew this would be the hard part, being creative with liquids. What I have done is get the favorites and stick with them. I think my Dr. Kinda put me over in to week two when he told me to blend up "to liquid state", soups. That opens a big new world there. It has been zero problem this week with food. Bottom line you arent hungry either. Tomatoe soup is good good good..
I am having my 8 day anniversary today and i got out for the first time. I really did alot of walking that before surgery was not as easy. I have lost 11 pounds since surgery and i really think that has even helped some. My feet are asking,,hey who is that up there???? I am so excited about the future.. I want to be healthy and happy about my self.
Blessings to you all.

surgery date 1-16-2009
Here I am home and it is all behind me. I did have a setback due to the fact that I had had 2 other abdomenal surgeries. One staple procedure, and one reversal of the staple procedure. I had alot of scar tissue that meritted the Doc. making a large incision to do my LapBand. THe recovery time is much longer than for the 5 small incisions. I still am truck wreck material, but am so much better. I had a real hassle with the Hospital. Apparantly I am the first one to ever have a cap on my surgery for lap band...mine is to pay 15,000 and that is all. I was told by my drs office that i would be treated in his office as a patient pay, since I had a cap on my insurance. This seemed to cause much confusion as to how the hosp. would charge..The rest of the story remains to be seen.
Physically I am ok. But I do recommend that you know going in that there is a possibility of an Open surgery. It is rough.
I have lost 3 pounds and Doc says by the weekend i should see some major changes.
Blessings to you all.
