Ok ... I dont understand how this works but I works. Yes I have made major changes to my eating habits but overall I don't feel like I am dieting. Tuesday March 25th I weighed in at 250.5 lbs for a total weight loss so far of 35.1 lbs since I began the liquid diet and had the surgery back in January 8th.
BTW...Had a physical yesterday and my blood pressure is looking good.
I am looking forward to the warm weather so I can get out and do some work around the house and increase my physical activity.
So far my Lapband has been filled with 6.5 CCs and I am noticing that I am less hungry and a meal takes me further through the day.
How could a guy be anxious about going to the Doctor? Well I did. After 3 weeks on a liquid diet, I wanted to know if it worth the misery. So on 1/24/08 I went to my first visit after my surgery. The results were better than I expected. On Friday December 28, 2008 I weighed in at 285.6 lbs at my pre op rundown at New Britain General Hospital. On Thursday January 24, 2008 I weighed in at 265... 19 lbs down.
I know that once I start solid foods again the weight loss wont be as quick but the difference is very motivating. Now, I am getting ready to start going to the gym again.
Hope I have good news on my next report
Some background... Seemed like a new years resolution when I began the liquid diet on January 1, 2007, one week before my Lap Band surgery. Now I dont want to see a Protein Shake or Crystal Light for a while.
Today (1/24/08) I began phase 3 of my "Journey" by eating 1/2 cups of soft mushy food. Breakfast - 1/2 cup of Cottage Cheese with Pineapple. Lunch - 1/2 cup of Tuna Fish. Dinner - "Tore Up" a Veggie Burger into millions of pieces with watered down ketchup and mustard. By the end of the week I will probably get bored of it too.
This is the longest I have kept a New Years Resolution. This time I don't think I have a choice.
