New to LBT

Wow. I had my surgery back in..you guessed it, May 2005. I have lost 60 pounds and remain 35 pounds away from goal. I have not been the most obedient Bander, but I am considering following the rules a little better to get back on track. I rarely eat, eat too fast when I do...struggle to drink even a sip of water in a day, never exercise and can't stop coffee and cream puffs. I guess you could say I am the poster child for what "not" to do. I actually prefer to throw up after eating now. I hate the painful feeling. (I know, I know..smaller bites & chew longer...). I have two very wonderful friends who followed in my foot steps to become Banders For Life. (We are known as "the band girls") Both of my friends have lost tons more weight than me and one of them went from size 26 to now a size 4. AND her clothes are 'hanging' on her. She carried her weight in the upper body and mine is mostly in the lower section. I am very happy and proud for her, don't get me wrong. I am just very embarrassed that I have not done so well. It took her only a year to drop 115 pounds! I will mention that her health is not the greatest. She chews on ice constantly and barely gets any food to stay down. Her teeth are also starting to decay some. If you ask her has it all been worth it - -she will tell you ABSOLUTELY, and so would I. If you truly follow the instructions, I believe you can succeed and live a safer, healthier life. I believe in the band completely. Following rules is just not much fun:frown:. So, I am living on my morning bowl of cereal and 16 oz of Starbucks White Chocolate Mochoa (non-fat milk of course) that gets serveral reheats throughout the day. I think it's time to buckle down...that's how I found this site. Searching for Lap Band Receipes/Meal Ideas. Eating used to be my favorite thing. Now it's just boring, painful, and pointless to me. What about you? Say a prayer for me and I will say one for you. Till next time... Blessings, may2005
