a little about me and what is going on

:smile:Hello , my name is samantha I am a 24 year old mother of 5 . I am just starting my journey to getting the lap band .And wanted to share my story . I was not over weight until I was 5 or so and after that I have always been over weight . My family called me count snackula , pie girl , and man cow instead of samantha . When I was eight I weighed close to 90 pounds ,when I was 14 I was 130 pounds ,and at 18 I weighed about 230 and now I weigh 310 . So I have tried many diets along the way and nothing works for long periods of time I would loose 10 to 15 pounds and then gain it right back. I am fed up with being this big and I am ready to make a change.   I already went to the seminar for Dr. coirin , and have a consult apt with his office on feb. 7 I just can not wait to get things realy moving along !!! keep your eye on the prize

Ok I have not posted here in a while so here are all the updates . I have had all of the pre op stuff done the psych evaluation and the 4 hour pre op class and am now more ready than I have ever been ,I am awaiting word from my insurance to see if my surgery was approved or denied . If I am denied it will be pending 4 to 6 month weight loss history but in the mean time i am attending the support group for over weight people with the dieticion , so that I will have 2 of the 4 to 6 months done . My mother is also having the surgery done and she went thru all of the classes with me and she was approved and her surgery is april 15 so that is very exciting she is a diabetic and they said that is why her approval came so quick . Well that is where I am right now just waiting and that is the worst part so until next time i will eagerly waiting for the date that my new life will begin if you read my blog thank you very much for your time and posts ! :thumbs_up:
