Overeaters Anonymous lessons to remember on this journey: (Mostly from the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous)   "It works if you work it!" "Half measures availed us nothing."   "Do not be discouraged. No one among us has been able to maintain anything like perfection. We are not saints. We claim progress rather than perfection."   'The Promises' If we are painstaking about this phase of our developmet, we will be amazed before we are halfway through. We are going to know a new freedom and a new happiness. We will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it. We will comprehend the word serenity and we will know peace. No matter how far down the scale we have gone, we will see how our experience can benefit others. That feeling of uselessness and self-pity will disappear. We will lose interest in selfish things and gain interest in our fellows. Self-seeking will slip away. Our whole atttude and outlook upon life will change. Fear of people and of economic insecurity will leave us. We will intuitively know how to handle situations which used to baffle us. We will suddenly realize that [our higher power] is doing for us what we could not do for ourselves.   Are these extravagant promises? We think not. They are being fulfilled among us - sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly. They will always materialize if we work for them.

I LOOK HOT! Hilary Clinton meeting Dorrie stared @ me & said "You really look good" Richard Lenard didn't recognize me. Audrey Livingstone lost 70lbs (I bet she too got banded!) she gave me the standard bandster answer "I eat everything but in small portions even a little ice cream" Ya ok! He stared @ me when he saw me in my new suit....Maria said now I look beautiful.

WOW OWWW HAD GROUND CORNED BEEF FOR LUNCH & FELT RESTRICTED! DINNER IS GROUND ROAST CHICKEN SALAD I GUESS I'M BEST ON THE SOFT MUSHIES I'LL BOIL POTATOES IN PRESSURE COOKER TOMORROW : BFAST:TURKEY SALAD LUNCH: GROUND CHICKEN & EGG SALAD DINNER:TUNA & CORNED BEEF SALAD NO MORE CANDIES OR POTATO CHIPS OR HUMMUS... :clap2: :nervous :clap2: OOOOHHH BABY! WOKE UP W BURN IN THE BUTT, THIGHS & BACK LIKE I HAD A FULL BODY GIRDLE (FROM SUNDAYS WORKOUT) TO-DAY I WEIGH 232LBS ...HAVE TO WATCH THE SALT AT NIGHT... PERIOD OVER... WILL WEIGH MYSELF DAILY AND WALK DAILY...I DONT CARE IF ITS ONLY 20 MINS... MY SCARS ARE SMALLER...THE 2 THAT ARE ALMOST ALIGNED, AND FUNNILY ENOUGH SEEM TO BE MOVING CLOSER. NOW I HAVE A DEFINITE WRINKLE GOING DOWN MY ABS. USED TO BE IT WAS ONE ROUND BLOB. SO I TRIED ON MY GREY LARRY LEVINE ...WAS 2" APART LAST WEEK WHEN I TRIED IT ON, TO-DAY THE TOP BUTTONS CLOSED AND THERE WAS A 2" GAP AT THE BOTTOM ONLY! YEA BABY! HAVE TO WEAR MY GREY SUIT TO THE AWARDS DINNER ON MONDAY THE 27TH....11 DAYS AWAY... HILLARY CLINTON ON 23RD...8 DAYS AWAY! MY HAIR IS POKER STRAIGHT & FULL, I'M WEARING MY TAN TOP W GREY PANTS THAT ARE LOOSE. nsv both pants that Aideen gave me last month that fit are now loose & baggy WALKED 35 MINS IN AM 1.1 MILE BREAKFAST 1/2 C COTTAGE CHEESE 90 & 2 C TEA 1LG C (20 OZ) AT MEETING NOT V RESTRICTED TO DAY LUNCH: 1C TOMATO ROASTED PEPPER SOUP 80 & 1/2 C COTTAGE CHEESE 90 AFTER EATING I FELT RESTRICTED We fought after mtg he said I keep bothering him after he's done that Roger & I stopped him & I pointed a finger @ him. I told him he was splitting hairs & I couldn't believe the President of MLS would act the way he was. (He's pissed @ me because I am so shut down, now he doesn't get any vibe from me... & I look good ... how dare I not give him any good vibes...told me "who the hell are you" & I answered softly,"Right, who the hell am I after 3 years of working to build your company." He bolted to the door, I said "wait don't just run out" "No" he said & he ran out the door. He knew he went too far. RW said to me after, you 2 are funny how you guys banter because I said "whatever" is what teeny boppers say. I called Holb 4 Pattie & she was snotty 2 me... THEN, I LOOK @ MY REFLECTION IN THE MIRROR BY THE DOOR, MY SHOULDER BLADES SAID"HELLO!". (I GUESS I SHOULD SHUT UP) THEN I TRIED ON MY BL LEATHER JACKET... IT FITS..I BUTTONED IT UP! B.1 ENG MUFF 100 + CAPONATA 30 = 130 L.3/4C COTTAGE CHEESE 135 + 5 CRACKERS 60+1 SLICE BOLOGNA 20 +1 HOT DOG 50 = 245 = 395 SUMMER IS ONLY 3 MONTHS AWAY!

I had a few phobic moments before I tried on the pants(18 w) remembering last yr & how 20w wouldn't fit before the awards dinner & how upset I was. 2 common signs when I eat: 1. My nose runs after 3 bites 2.I look @ a big plate of food & know I can't eat it

I WENT TO FASHION BUG FOR A SUIT MY SIZE 18 ARE BAGGY SO I TRIED ON MISSES SIZE 16 AND THEY FIT. 3 MONTHS AFTER SURGERY I'VE GONE FROM A 22 TO 16! BOY AM I EXTATIC!:clap2: I COULDN'T EAT MUCH @ THE BUFFET... SPIT UP SOUP... THEN I TOOK MY SORRY ASS INTO FASHION BUG (STILL CRANKY) LOOKED @ PLUS SIZES, FELT SORRY FOR MYSELF(DID NOT WANT TO BUY THEM) THEN I REMINDED MYSELF THAT I WAS WEARING SIZE 18 PANTS THAT WERE BAGGY SO I WENT & TRIED ON 16 MISSES & THEY FIT!
