Hello!

I know it is has been far too long since my last post... I am doing very well. I am feeling great about myself and been choosing activities that burn more calories! I play on a co-ed basketball on the weekend, I go skiing at our local ski resort, I use the elliptical on the weekends... I just am being a more active person. My fill is at 5.5 cc's in my 10 cc band so I am eating well. I can have about 2 eggs and reamin full for about 4 hours... great feeling! Most importantly, drum roll, I have a date this Saturday! We are going hiking... I will keep you all posted!

Wednesday...

I haven't been writing much, shame on me. I have been having a horrible eating week... My mini-weiner dog was hit by a car yesterday and died. So I felt it was a good idea to cheat... I had 6 ritz crackers with pepper jelly and a tall glass of white wine. Depressed. I need to get my butt moving and burn some calories! I am not sure what my weight is because I have not been weighing myself... it is frustrating to watch the scale bounce up and down between a pound. I am sure I am somewhere around 180 lbs... Until next time....

I have never been so happy for my size 12 NY&Co jeans to be baggy on me! :rolleyes2: I have a pair of size 14 "Seven" Jeans and they fit well too! Ya.....

Still at 185.5

I am still at 185.5 so my weight loss has stalled. I get my first fill tommorow so I will let you know how it goes! Hopefully it will jump start my weight loss again! I am very excited about getting a fill, I have heard it takes like 4-5 fills to find your "sweet spot" so here I go! Round 1 ding ding!

Bingo!

I think I may have figured out what my problem has been! I have been eating at 850-900 calories a day, working out on the elliptical trainer for at least 20 - 30 minutes a day.... yaaadddaaa... well I was stuck at 190 lbs - right? Well, I started looking at my nutritional information on www.thedailyplate.com and my sodium consumption was through the roof! I mean am not supposed to go over like 2200mg and I was like at oh 4000 something! Ya, it seems I am eating all the wrong foods: ham, pickles, lunch meat, cheese, saleted nuts, olives all things with seriously high in sodium. In addtion to that I was not meeting my water requirement or taking in nearly enough fiber! HELLO! I was sabtoging myself! So I am taking it easy on the sodium, yesterday it was only 700mg and getting in all my water and fiber so we will have to see where next weeks weigh in takes me! Toodles P.S. I might as well as had a salt lick! Geez I am special!

7 days to go!

When someone asked me the other day what my favorite food was I knew the answer right away... :whoo:SUSHI :whoo: I just love the stuff! I am a big fan of it all. When I first started going to Japanese restraunts I only ate the "California Rolls" because I was so afraid of the raw stuff.... Now I am a full blown sushi junkie! I start off my meal with a delicious bowl of Cucumber soumono (spelling) See below: It is refreshing and tangy as, I think they marinate the cucumber in it overnight. It is usually topped with crab and "tako" also known as octopus! YUMMO! The next course I order is the beautiful RAINBOW ROLL ... The roll is usually a combination of crab, cucumber - tuna, yellowtail, shrimp, salmon, avocado, layered outside. At the sushi restraunt I go to I have the sushi man dress up my roll a bit more (as if it should be the roll in itself is a meal and is usually $15) with a drizzle of a "sweet" sauce, which kind of tastes like teriyaki, and on top of that crumbled macadamia nuts - "Big Island Roll" is what I call it. Check it out (this picture does not show the sauce and macadamia nuts.. it is a picture of a true Rainbow Roll... which is great too): All this sushi talk is making my mouth water! I am sipping on a "Premier Nutrition" protein shake at the moment and it is not too shabby. You can guess what I am craving now for lunch....

Frustration.

Ok. Here it goes let me explain my dilemia. I stuck at 190 lbs. I mean stuck. And it is really pissing me off. I have a body bugg, I track all my food to a tee and exsercise daily. I always have a deficet of at least 1300 and I did not lose a pound this week in really bothers me. I have yet to have a fill but it scares me that I am only eating like 850 calories a day, exerscing for at least 30 minutes of the elliptical trainer and I still don't see a loss. Very frustrating.

I was right!

So my fear about having too much sodium, not enough fiber and lack of water was right! It was holding all this weight on me. After lowering my sodium consumption to about <1000mgs a day, getting about 25g fiber in and about 10 glasses of water... the weight finally came off! I weighed in at 186.5 this morning! Yaaaa.... I was stuck for about a week wondering what I was doing wrong! So take my advice, watch your SODIUM it is the devil!:eek:

Hunting

Last night my mom and I went hunting for an elliptical machine. I am tired of going to the gym and waiting for one - people use those things like crazy at my gym... Anyway so we went to Sear's - found quite a few but they were HUGE... I want to be able to put it in my room, so I can watch my favorite shows and exsercise. The we went to Big 5, they didn't have any! So I think we might check out Sports Authority next... If not I guess I will have to get a big beast at Sears... :mad: Any way so after the hunt for the perfect elliptical machine my mom and I decided we were hungry... so we went to Olive Garden. I was pretty good... I had a bit of salad, NO BREAD, and ordered the Apricot Chicken with broccolli and asparagus. I figured that was not TOO bad... anyway I fell asleep really early last night 8:30 - I have no idea what is wrong with me... I think it may be that I have not been excersing much latelly so my lack of energy is out the window!!! I will update as the day goes on! I just found out I love my blogging/journaling whatever you want to call it! 14 days until my surgery!!!:bored

Defeated.

:faint:Went to my 3 week post op appointment yesterday. Boy was it pointless. I drove an hour and a half to get there and basically all he did was chew me out about how little weight I dropped. I consider 10 lbs in 3 weeks a good thing but he didn't. He said, "Well it looks like you strayed off the liquid diet..." I said, "yes - i was starving"... Apperantly that wasn't a good enough answer. Then he told me I probably made my band slip... He bascially scared the crap out of me and made me feel so defeated when I left. So, here I am so scared even to eat 1/4 cup of cottage cheese in fear of screwing up my band! HELP!

6 days to go!

Friday is fun day and I just got my hair done check it out... Do you like it better blonde or brown? It is winter time, time to give my blonde hair a rest - come summer time when I am slim and sexy I will bust out the blonde hair again! Well today started off wonderful as I sipped my Muscle Milk Light drink... thenI got an attack of the munchies and chowed a half of a jalapeno bagel. Lunch was ok. Had a slice of meatloaf for lunch so that wasn't too too bad. Tonight after work I am going shopping with my good friend Annie. I do not need to - since I had all my X-mas shopping done in October! I was very organized about that this year. Every paycheck starting in summer time I bought one present for a loved one... They are pretty much all wrapped too! Anywho I will update you as the weekend goes on! Tata!

I am still alive...

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days but things have been alittle hectic here. Work has been crazy latelly as I work for a petroleum company and everyone wants PROPANE because it has been so COLD! So, I have been a scatter brain. I have been eating fairly well. Protien shakes are usually breakfast. Tuna salad or soup make up lunch. And dinner usually polenta, or salmon. I have tried to stay under 800 calories but I have managed to go over by 50 calories here latelly. I have been excited to add britterz to my yahoo messenger, so if anyone else out there wants to be my friend add me: missy_outta_control ....or leave me a comment with your yahoo messenger name. 2 days - can you believe it?

Raise your hand if you are excited about me having my surgery in 2 days....:clap2: Yaaaa... I am so excited. I have cleaned up my room so I am comfortable after surgery. I still have a pile of clothes to fold but no big worries I will get to that tonight. I gave my mom a list of things to pick up for me: heating pad, baby spoon, baby bowl, gas x strips... you know the basics! Today I had a scambled egg for breakfast and a tuna sandwich for lunch - bye bye bread... not going to be tasting you anymore! Oh well. I am trying my best to get as much done at work as possible so I will not make it difficult for the person at work who is filling in for me while I am gone. My surgery is on Friday and I assume I will be able to come back to work on Monday. I hope everything goes well because I didn't tell anyone at work what I was having done. Well, I take that back, I told the receptionist I was having my gallbladder removed because she over heard me on the phone talking to the surgery center. Oh well - it was a white lie and really none of her business anyway. I will update you more later... bye.
