:mad:I got the OFFICAL letter of denial from the insurance company today. I can not believe some insurance companies will cover the surgery and some won't. I think most of them won't cover the surgery and it SUCKS. As I have known from the get go...I will have to pay $18,888 to have the surgery. I want this so bad I will do it. :cry On the brighter side, it is Christmas and I am so looking forward to it. HAPPY HOLIDAYS
After further realistic discussion with my husband, we have decieded lap band is not the way to go right now. Finanically, we will be taking everything we have to be a self pay. What if something went wrong? Then my family suffers...I can not do that to them. Back to the good old "diet" at least for now. Damn insurance companies!!!
:whoo:Tonight I made the first step in the right direction, I attended the seminar in Madison. I am so ready to get moving forward. I know insurance will not cover anything and that stinks. The only postive to that situation is not having anything held up with insurance issues. Hopefully that will speed things up a little faster. Be back soon with an update!
I have been on this WLS journey now for 3 years. I have finally decided it needs to be done. I need to be healthy for me as well as my 3 children and my wonderful husband. I will be attending the seminar on Monday the 26th. I already know I will be a self pay. My wonderful insurance will not cover anything...no matter what.
Hello, All
Just wondering if there is anyone out there who had surgery at UW Madison, with Dr. Gould or Dr. Garren? I can not wait to get to that seminar on Monday and get this thing going. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.
Well...I have waited one week. Still no word, not suprising though. I have been reading everyone's post and getting so motivated by them. I can not wait for this to happen. I am tired of the fat me...I know someone skinny is inside. :bounce:This waiting is the worst. I already know my insurance will not cover and am going to be self pay. Why can't we just get on with the process.
I got the call I have been waiting for. On to the next step of my journey. I made my 3 appointments needed to move forward. I will be going to my 1st appointment on January 11th(3 hour appt.). My next will be on January 25th, and the last one will be February 8th. Pending no hold ups, I am hoping for surgery in March or April. I have been reading alot of postings and looking at before and after pictures and that is such motivation for me. I can't wait...:clap2:
